'You decide to check out the Munar Lander. There are flashy buttons and large windows. You see the Mun outside of the window.'

"Are we there yet?"

"I was wondering when I'll begin hearing that sentence."

"Kapollo 11, you ETA for Munar Orbit Insertion burn is about 3 hours."

'Well, more time to enjoy the view I guess.'

'You look outside the window more closely to see more planets. You can see Jool, Sarnus and there's Minus, the second moon of Kerbin.'

"When do you think we'll get there as well?"

"That depends on what happens with us I think."

"Is it asking too much to wanting to go there as well?"

"Not if we all do, heh."

"Kapollo 11, T-Minus 3 minutes before Correction burn 2."

"Roger, I definitely didn't forget about it over."

'You quickly ready your crew for ignition.'

'You feel a refreshing feeling of acceleration in a long time. The big POP sound the engine makes as it ignites is still kind of frightening.'

"Mun's gotten bigger now, can't see much because of the angle though."

"Does that mean we're there yet?"

"Pretty soon certainly."

"Alright Kapollo 11, expected loss of signal is in about a minute, good luck with the MOI burn and we'll see you on the other side!"

"Copy that, Kapollo 11 going dark."

'You start up your engine again in the dark. As far as instrumentations goes, you're pointing the right way.'

"So, it's just three of us out here for now eh?"

"Perhaps this is the most secluded corner of the universe if you think about it no signals going through what so ever."

"You forgot about the satellite we've put a few weeks ago."

"Ah well, we can just turn off our mics."

"Nice to see you back Kapollo 11, was the burn nominal?"

"Nominal enough, but we'd prefer another correction burn to adjust our orbit a bit more."

'You see the view of Kerbin rising above the grey horizon.'

'As Mun gets further and further illuminated by the Sun, it reveals its monochrome surface, covered in craters.'

"Oh I have an idea, we can give names to those craters!"

"We already named the large onces, but naming a crater after ourselves seems cool."

"Alright, that one's Neil crater!"

"Hey, you can't just pick before everyone!"

"That one's mine!"

"Fine, I'll pick the one bigger than any of yours!"

"Kapollo 11, you're GO for undocking."

"Roger, let's get this show running."

'After system checks, the Mission Control gives GO for MEM Undocking. Neil and Edwin enters the lander and closes the hatch, leaving Mike in orbit.'

"Ok, i'll see you later!"

"Don't get too lonely while we're gone!"

'The sound of the loosening docking mechanism indicates the lander is now free. You deploy the landing legs.'

"Beagle has wings."

"That's quite a nice ship you got there Beagle, despite being upside down."

"SOMEONE's upside down, hehe."

'Your callsign now is Beagle and the CSM's Kolumbia, these are the names your crew chose before departing. According to the clock, it is 20 minutes until you begin your descent.'

"Beagle, you're GO for DOI over."

"Roger, GO for DOI."

'The MEM's descent engine lights as you begin your descent. You think of what the words would be coming out from you as you take the first step on the Munar surface.'

"Beagle, you are GO for landing, cleared to land."

"Roger, we have the whole runway for ourselves."

'Mission Control gives a GO for landing, then an alarm sounds.'

"We're having an alarm, 1201."

"Roger Beagle, 1201."

'An alarm sounded during descent, you don't exactly what it means but that's the mission control's job.'

"You're still GO, Beagle."

"Rog."

"Ok, we're having another alarm, 1202."

"Roger Beagle... you're GO, same type."

"Copy."

'Another alarm, but you learned not to panic because of the training. You've also landed while a hundred different alarms were going off.'

"Beagle, 60 seconds remaining."

"15 down, 3 forward... 12 and a half down..."

'Ed gives callouts as the MEM approaches the ground.'

"3 down, drifting to the left a little... 2 forward..."

" light. Ok, engine stop, SAS off, RCS off."

'You cut off the engine as Ed gives you the call. you feel the lander gently setting to the ground.'

"Mission Control, Northwest Base here, the Beagle has landed."

"We copy you down Beagle, I saw a bunch of guys turning blue over here, thanks very much, we're breathing again."

'The two in the MEM give eachother a high five.'

"Beagle, You're GO for stay."

"Roger."

'You prepare your EVA suits and put them on for the first stroll.'

"Right now, you can see astronaut Neil Kerman on the ladder of the Munar lander, about to take the first steps on another world."

"The soil looks like it's covered in a very fine powder."

'You take a deep breath.'

"Gonna step off the MEM now."

"That's one small step for a Kerbal, One giant leap for Kerbalkind."

'Ed follows you down to the ground, it's a bit slippery but not bad enough to stand on.'

'You see the reflection of yourself on the visor.'

"We're sure a long way from home."

"That's where the whole Kerbalkind lives, at least except for three at the moment."

'You look at home, you've been living there as long as you can .'

'You quickly begin your work while on the surface, You collect soil samples and store them in the cabin.'

"It's time to plant the flag! The honour is yours."

'You pull out the flag from the leg of the Lander's leg, unfurl it to the best of your ability and poke it into the ground.'

'You see the plaque on the flagpole.'

"Here Kerbalkind from the planet Kerbin first set foot upon the Mun."

"I've never jumped up this high in my life!"

"Careful, you don't want to spoil your suit with grey dust do you?"

"To be frankly honest, I kinda do."

'You feel the gravity of the Mun. Not too low, not too high like on Kerbin. You wait for Kolumbia to go overhead once again before leaving.'
