It’s been over a year since my initial introduction challenge I did for Splatoon Amino. I changed a lot since that time, therefore I decided since the Introduction Challenge got an updated post, I’ll redo it!

◈ Splatoon / Splatoon 2 ◈
1 〜 When and why did you first start playing Splatoon / Splatoon 2?
I started back in the early fall of 2017 on Splatoon 1. I don’t which month. I sort of just tried it because my brother got the game for his Birthday and he allowed me to use his save data to try the game out on. I ended up not making a save file of my own and continued to use the save data of my brother’s as he was generous enough to let me continue.
I received happily Splatoon 2 on my Birthday in March of 2018, and I continue to play it regularly today. And no, I don’t share a save file anymore. I got my own on Splatoon 2.
2 〜 Have you 100% completed the story mode?
Splatoon 1, no not personally, but it was completed on the save data by my brother.
On Splatoon 2, yup. Got everything.
3 〜 What level and rank(s) are you?
Splatoon 1 I believe I am level 46 or 47 with a B+ rank.
Splatoon 2 I am currently at the time level 65 with the following ranks:
Rainmaker A-
Tower Control A-
Splat Zones B-
Clam Blitz B-
I’m more competitive in Splatoon 2 vs Splatoon 1. I invest my time in pairs league with a friend rather than in solo queue. I honestly don’t have much motivation to raise my ranks to their proper places currently.
4 〜 What are your favourite weapons and gear?
Soda Slosher hands down, both games. Absolutely the best weapon ever in my opinion.
I don’t have favorite gear really. I use what has the abilities I need on it. I suppose you could consider my inksona’s gear (Bamboo Hat, Choco Layered LS, and Samurai Boots) my “favorite” if you wish to have some sort of answer.
5 〜 What is your favourite special and sub weapon?
Splatoon 1, the inkzooka. Best special ever. (Again another highly opinion based statement)
Splatoon 2, Sting Ray. It’s really fun to use though only two weapons I play sometimes have it as their special.
Both games for the sub, Splat Bomb.
6 〜 Which mode do you enjoy the most?
Rainmaker and Tower Control. I love playing them both so much.
7 〜 Which mode do you enjoy the least?
It’s sort of a tie between Splat Zones and Clam Blitz. Clam Blitz wouldn’t have tied with Splat Zones if it wasn’t for the fact it’s really team based therefore some RNG in a sense is involved in each game. However, isn’t RNG apart of all matches? (Probably to some extent.)
8 〜 Which NPC is your favourite?
Marie probably? I like her puns.
9 〜 Which were your first and favourite Splatfests?
My first Splatfest was the Chicken vs Egg Splatfest.
My favorite though? Probably the Raph vs Leo where I feel the height of my slosher play was. Was that the height of my play though now? Probably not, however I always think back to it and it like that.
10 〜 What is your favourite part about the game?
Being able to play it? I can’t name a favorite part honestly other than being able to play the game itself.
11 〜 Are you in any clans or competitive teams?
I don’t have a flexible enough schedule currently for a competitive team. If I did, I might be in one. I am in a casual clan called Star Light Squids currently. I’ve been sort of browsing the feature feed for semi-competitive teams and clans but haven’t really found any.
If any of you reading this has a semi-competitive team or clan recruiting and allows multi-clanning I might be interested in it.
12 〜 What was your favourite Hero Mode boss?
I don’t know. DJ Octavio from Splatoon 1 maybe? He was more challenging back then than he is in Splatoon 2.
If you’re looking for a Splatoon 2 specific answer, I don’t really have one.
13 〜 What's your favourite Octarian enemy?
Octolings purely for the purpose of using their programmed AI as target practice with a charger.
14 〜 Judd or Li'l Judd?
Neither? I don’t pay much attention to either even though they decide all the matches.
15 〜 What ink colour is your favourite?
Light blue or orange. My inksona has light blue so probably light blue.
16 〜 Do you like squid parties? If you encounter them online, what do you do?
I’m neutral on squid parties. I don’t hate them or love them.
Online? Better not be in Salmon Run (unless it’s between waves or at the end it’s fine), Solo queue, or League. I tolerate them in turf (and maybe in PB, though it depends on the purpose of the PB) but anywhere else, yeah no. Get out of my lobby if you’re going to screw me out of league power or contribute to cracking my rank bar, or purposely do nothing during a wave on Salmon Run.
It might be a bit harsh but, when I’m in league or ranked, I expect players to play, not party the match away. In turf I can accept it. It’s where I feel a lot of the casual players play.
17 〜 What's your favourite band and song?
The Squid Sisters is my favorite band and my favorite song is Calamari Inkantation.
18 〜 Have you read the Splatoon Manga? Who's your favourite character?
I’ve read the fan-made English translations. My favorite character is probably Rider. He looks so darn awesome in his Agent 3.5 gear in the Octo Expansion part of the Manga.

I don’t have a picture of my actual avatar’s gear and stuff in game currently, so have a photo of my inksona instead.
20 〜 Tell us a little about yourself!
Well, you already know I play Splatoon 2, my favorite weapon, ect, with more questions and answers below. I do art, write (Need to get some writing out here on Splatoon Amino sometime. I haven’t written in awhile, which is also probably why there’s no stories posted on my .), and that’s kind of it for Splatoon related stuff. I did convert 12 Days of Christmas song to 12 Days of Squidmas last Christmas.
◈ Salmon Run ◈
21 〜 Which is worse: Smallfries, Chums, Cohocks, or Snatchers?
Smallfries. Those little fish are annoying to deal with especially with blasters and chargers if I correctly.
22 〜 Which Salmon Run boss is the best / worst?
Grillers are the worst. I never had a good time with them.
Best? Not sure. Maybe the Goldie because it literally doesn’t do much.
23 〜 Do you prefer collecting eggs, or splatting Salmonids?
I do whatever is needed without much preference. My goal is to clear all three waves.
24 〜 Favourite Salmon Run stage?
Marooner’s Bay.
25 〜 Which special wave do you like the most / least? (Mothership, Grillers, Fog, etc.)
I like the Griller event the least. It has Grillers in it, and as mentioned above, I don’t like them.
The one I like the most I’m not quite sure. Perhaps the Goldie Seeking one.
◈ If you've played Splatoon AND Splatoon 2.. ◈
26 〜 Which map do you wish could have returned in Splatoon 2?
Mahi Mahi Resort or Bluefin Depot. I can’t decide between them really. Both were unique in their own ways and would have made great additions to Splatoon 2.
27 〜 Do you prefer the old ranked system, or the new one?
New one. The old one was even more flawed than the new one.
28 〜 What do you think of the new weapons, subs, and special weapons?
I don’t really have much for opinions on them. The new specials are less overpowered, the dualie class was a pain to deal with at first and some variants still are, and the Clash Blaster is an annoying pest I am still trying to get the hang of predicting if just for the fact I don’t see too many of them.
29 〜 If you could pick one special to return, which would it be?
The inkzooka. I loved that special.
30 〜 What do you think about the new music?
I don’t personally really listen to the new music a lot because during battles I am more focused on the battle than the music. Some new music is good, some is okay, and some is eh, not so great.
31 〜 Which game do you like more?
Can’t decide. Both games have their pros and cons.

33 〜 Which station was the most fun?
I liked most 8-ball stages and had fun doing them. The replicate the statue ones were also fun.
34 〜 Which station was the most challenging?
Probably Girl Power Station and the ones where you have to dodge the enemy fire until a timer runs out.
35 〜 Which NPC is your favourite?
C. Q. Cumber. Yes, he does have the button to inksplode you, but at every station he says, “Take care out there.” I him for that quote instead of his infamous “Test Failed” one.
36 〜 Which mem cake is your favourite?
I don’t have a personal favorite. I just sort of collected them and didn’t really look at them.
37 〜 Have you completed all stations with each available weapon?
Nope. I have completed all stages with at least one available weapon though.
38 〜 What’s your favourite station gimmick? (infinite special, target breaker, rainmaker/tower control levels, etc.)
8-ball. There’s only one 8-ball stage that sucked that had limited ink and chargers on it. I forget which station that was.
39 〜 Are there any questions you still have about the lore after clearing OE?
Yeah, sort of, mainly due to reading a lot of theories about Splatoon. Where did all the other octolings like Agent 8 come from or why/how was so many made?
Also, why aren’t there any male octolings like Marina and the ones from Hero Mode if the ones like Agent 8 apparently can be male?
40 〜 Have you beaten the secret boss?
Yep. It was hard the first time through beating it. The second time I went back to it after beating it, it was a lot easier. That was a few months or so after I initially beat it, so I guess I improved quite a bit between initial beating and second beating.
