Allie's Ice Breaker | 2024

Hi, I'm Allison :) I just ed the community and figured a good way to get somewhat introduced would be to partake in this challenge. I play on the Nightsprinkles server, so if anyone ever wants somebody to like train with or just kinda wander around with I'd be down :) that being said, I'm also here just to waste some time and have people to talk about SSO with, so even if I don't make any lifelong SSO friends just sharing my hobby with some other likeminded people is good enough for me. Anyways; onto the challenge! And thank you for reading in advance :)

✰ How long have you been playing Star Stable? Do you how you first found out about the game? If so, we’d love to know how it happened!

I've been playing since probably around 2019-2020, however; I did take a bit of break for a while because I wasn't able to get the hip. When I finally got back into it around 2021 I was finally able to get the lifetime and play more seriously, it was actually during the 10th birthday event. I kind of forgot the game existed, but was seeing some of the free horse videos on YouTube and was like oh yeah StarStable lol. YouTube is how I initially discovered the game as well.

✰ Tell us about your player character! What’s their name and level? Do you have a backstory for them?

My characters name is Allison Westgrove, she's currently a level 20 as of yesterday. Currently my character resides in Valedale, but she lived on South Hoof for a good while as well. She's not much of a social butterfly and prefers the company of animals over people, but if you need anything she is always happy to help. As far as character development and lore, I can't say I have anything too specific. I'm not quite sure how much of the games storyline I want to involve with her personally. (But it's definitely a WIP!)

✰ What type of SSO person would you say you are? Leveling-person, high score-person, questline-person, achievement-person, or club events-person? Or are you a completely different breed of Star Stable person?

I'm a mix between a few things I think, it really depends on my mood. I enjoy leveling my horses, but when I get bored of that I'll farm the story// regular quests until I can't anymore and by that point if I still want to play I'll usually NPC around or style new outfits for my character//reorganize my entire closet.

✰ Are you in any teams or clubs? If so, which one? What is the club’s focus, and what events do you attend together (if any)?

I've tried to clubs before, it's just not really my speed. My most recent one was a dressage club, but I've also been in a racing club. I just don't have the time to dedicate to a club while also enjoying the game itself//keeping up with my regular life.

✰ What’s your favorite in-game horse or breed? What are some things that make you like it more than other horses or breeds?

Currently I'm really into ardennes. My favorite specifically being the bay roan but I have a few of the variations. They are just so CHUNKY! I absolutely love the larger//more stocky horses so the ardennes are just *chefs kiss*

✰ Do you have any favorite moments or memories from the game? Write as much or as little as you want!

I really enjoy when the Halloween event rolls around. I kind of struggle with the special events as far as getting everything on time, but I love seeing the little squashes bahaha. I also really like the races and costumes. Plus the HORSES?! I have been really liking the additions lately like yesss

✰ Are there any other favorites that you’d like to mention? Write as much or as little as you want about them! (This could be a favorite NPC, a favorite race, a favorite area, or a favorite quest)

I really love Valedale, especially with the revamp. It's just so beautiful and easy to navigate like ugghh (why I live there). It's also not usually all that crowded which I enjoy. Another place is the wildwood, like talk about GORGEOUS. And the little horses are so cute with their little outfits and what not lol. I also enjoyed some of their quests cause talk about DRAMA.

✰ What’s your least favorite thing about the game, if any?

Some of the bugs, that just like... never get fixed. I've reported them like months ago and nothing. And it's not particularly game ending, it's just cosmetic stuff or like things that make it slightly inconvenient. But it does get slightly annoying overtime. I am also playing on mobile primarily now that my computer is wacked out so I mean maybe it's just that, I dunno.

✰ Do you have any dream update that you wish the Star Stable Team would add?

Fixing the bugs.

✰ Now to our billion-dollar question: are you a soul rider, or are you a dark rider?

I like to imagine I'm a soul rider because the dark riders low-key mutilate the horses, they also like... want the world to end and I mean how can I enjoy a nice plate of spaghetti if everyone is dead and the world is like total darkness and evil and stuff.
