On a recent interview with a Brazilian channel, The Crown and now Andor's Photography Director, Adriano Goldman, said that the show was first expected to run for five seasons, though now he believes it will run for a max of three.
He also said that shortly after Andor was announced, the then called Paradox series (The Acolyte) and Willow began production.
The piece of the interview that I saw wasn't big so, of possibly relevant information, that is what he said.
Apart from that he talked a bit how different and unique it was working on a Star Wars project, specifically because, unlike in The Crown, he didn't have source material he could study for that particular scenario they were building, as well as the fact that many intrinsics of that universe are very different or non-existent in our world, so it was something new and challenging to work with. In compliment, he said the show had many physical sets which helped as the show could have relied heavily on computerised material.
Hopefully we'll get a trailer on may fourth or on Star wars celebration.

Out of all the wild characters and worlds it's strange that andor is getting a series
I'm still surprised that Andor is still chugging along at all when his character fell out of relevance like Avatar or Demi Lovato. He died in Rogue One, and so having a multiple season show is certainly ambitious when it's a story about a character and what leads to his death. So knowing how he dies removes a lot of interest in the character, because we know we can't be invested in him long term.
