        ·˚✎ ﹏She was named for her great grandmother, who ed soon before her birth, as her parents did not have the time, energy, or creativity to deviate from tradition at the stressful time of her birth. The name means "gift of God", but the meaning was overshadowed by the significance of the lady who she was named for.

        ·˚✎ ﹏Ophelia was the name that her mother wanted to name her, but she was overshadowed by Theodora's father. However, in the ensuing chaos of the handover between the Refsebers and Kiplers, she was able to add it onto the birth certificate as a middle name before Theodora was handed over to the Kiplers.

        ·˚✎ ﹏Refseber is her true last name, as her father was a member of the Refseber house, but she was unable to go by the name in public because of her status as a child born outside of wedlock. The only reason that Theodora didn't have it scrubbed from her birth records was because she had with her mother in her adult life, and she held our hope that she would at least be recognized by her family.

        ·˚✎ ﹏Kipler is the last name that she goes by officially, since she was raised by her mother's family. She was ed off as a child of her late uncle, and raised as the sole heiress of House Kipler.

        ·˚✎ ﹏Marakeem is her married last name, but she doesn't use it. While it is against tradition, she doesn't use it because of her status as the heiress to House Kipler. Additionally, she likes the idea of having her own identity that isn't attached to her husband.

The loose curls aspect of it was from her father, but since so many hairstyles can be manufactured from heat or spray, it was easy to explain away.

           ·˚✎ ﹏Theodora is not one to sit still long enough for complicated and/or sophisticated hairstyles, so she often wears it with some variation of loose hair. Plus, she hates the way it feels after it's taken out of a complicated hairstyle, so for her, it's best to keep simple.
