I didn't post this one last night because one, I already had the merchandise showcase up and two, it was Christmas Day. I hope everyone had a nice holiday. If you didn't, well, I'll have you guys know that not everything can end up your way and that you can't always assume that your days and nights will have sunshine and rainbows--you get the idea. You just gotta push through the pain for the hopes of a more promising one someday. As for this event, there are only two more days after this so I'm going to pull out a more empathetic and clearer part of the plot for you all tonight.
After a long, tiring day of last-minute Christmas shopping, Eyeball and Amethyst empathize with each other on their struggles from throughout their existence.

MISTLETOE
Eyeball and Amethyst step up the wooden staircase of the porch as pellets of snow drift along the easy evening breeze. They grunt with gifts wrapped into presents in their arms as they approach the front door.
Amethyst sets hers down, slightly dropping them without much intent to cause a low thud. Amethyst exhales and she stretches as Eyeball sets hers down next to the front door of the temple. She wipes a hand across her forehead and she turns to her companion.
"Man, that took way longer than it should've." Amethyst presses a hand against her forehead as she turns around from her load.
"Well, that's what happens when it's the day before Christmas, isn't it? I mean, Ocean Town was sold out, Empire City raised their prices beyond what we could afford, and Jersey was just depressing to deal with. Eventually, we just had to settle in for less."
Amethyst lifts her head up. "But at least it's done now, right?" Eyeball nods and she looks over at the door. "Yeah. It is." She stands still with her hands on her hips as her eyes shift back on Amethyst. Her eye droops as she reflects on every moment of the holiday thus far.
"You know, you did say to me that you were gonna help me enjoy the holiday." Amethyst frowns as she raises an eyebrow. "Yeah. Aren't you enjoying it?" Eyeball turns to the snow outside and beyond and she steps up to the railing to grasp it. "I was--but there's something not right about that."
Amethyst s Eyeball at the railing as the Ruby bends her head down. "Like what?" Eyeball's face scrunches. "I couldn't enjoy myself as much as you wanted me to--becuase every time we try to have some fun--one of us would ruin it for the other. it it, Amethyst. We aren't compatible." Amethyst widens her eyes as she bites her lip.
"I mean, look at us. I'm a Homeworld Gem who wants Rose Quartz's gem in a blender. I can't stop myself from lamenting on that--horrific event of disasterous proportions--and I know that you hate it." Eyeball faces Amethyst.
"You--on the other hand--you're very loyal to Rose--and you're carefree without the slightest snippet of the Gem War haunting your memory. I want to be like you with that regard over my insecurities." Amethyst puts her hand on Eyeball's back. "Eyeball, it's not that I hate it. It's just--I can't--ugh!"
She facepalms as she turns to Eyeball. "Look, I know you have issues. I do to. You really think that I'm always this--okay with how things are with me? Had I popped out of my hole at the right time, I wouldn't be as small as you! I mean-!"
She colors as Eyeball gapes with a hurt expression. "Amethyst, you--why would you say that?" Amethyst turns back to the snow away from her.
"Your only issue is that you are the smallest link of your cut. I have to deal with the burden of Gem War cutting into my back. Thousands of years of nothing but worthless violence. What did it get us? Both sides lost their lustre and their edge. The Diamond Authority is cracked and the Crystal Gems are just as broken. I had to be a part of that."
Amethyst's eye locks on Eyeball's. "I would've been more than willing to spend extra time in the ground and be the smallest Gem ever to exist than to relive the memory like this. I want to forget about it. I would do anything to forget about it."
Amethyst turns back to the Ruby with gloom in her eyes. "But--if you did that--then where would you be?" Eyeball lets her hands slip from the railing. "I would be--somewhere." Amethyst shakes her head. "Eyeball, as much as I hate to it it, our issues makes us who we are and we should be glad to have them."
Eyeball raises her eyebrow. "What I mean to say is that we need to embrace our problems by just letting them flow in and out of our heads. We can't keep them out but we can't keep them in either. You have bad memories. That's nothing! I'm gonna be like this for my entire existence, don't you get that?!"
Eyeball slides a hand onto Amethyst's cheek and they gaze into each other's eyes. "I do. But that is what makes you who you are." She leans in closer to her. "That is what makes you the right Amethyst for me." The Gems brush their lips against each other as they close their eyes.
Amethyst moves her hand up and down Eyeball's back as Eyeball presses her hand against the back of Amethyst's head. Above them, hanging from the roof, a plant sprouts with yellow flowers and white berries attached to the ever-growing stems.

That's honestly such a good quote for the war hhhh
That ending!!!!!!! It was perfect!! I really love this one, they both have so many issues but in different ways. “That is what makes you the right Amethyst for me” made me squeal. They are precious. Love it!
I tried to put as much of an effort as I could into this one compared to the others because I wanted to reflect on why Eyemethyst isn't an ordinary crack ship and why it makes sense. Believe me, I'm not one for intimate relationships. I haven't had a single one in my life yet, but I know how to write these because I've seen the movies and I know how they work. That last line also put a smile on my face too btw.

Yeah honestly like, it seemed like a huge crackship to me at first, but you’d made it make so much sense that I honestly really want Amethyst and Eyeball to interact in the show. They have a lot in common as well as a lot different. I love it. You definitely know how to write it that’s for sure!
