Check this out. Literally every line Garnet had in the movie while still in her “reset” state was a question.

This is a huge reversal because Garnet does not ask questions in the present day.
So I went through and captured her innocent curiosity as presented in the movie! If you felt that there was something especially youthful or fresh about Garnet in the movie besides her vulnerable expression, her accessible gaze, her uneven splash of a color scheme, and her breathy tone... that seeing her ask questions put her back to this state of mind she no longer visits.

I want my very own cotton candy garnet. We’d have a nice dinner together.
Me: do you want a spoon or a fork?
Garnet: hm.
Garnet: a spork!
ugh what a cutie :triumph: i need to draw her someday
Oh that’s so cool and the ‘do you want a red or a blue cable’ coould of been her trying to figure out her identity with the red wire being ruby and blue being sapphire :eyes: :eyes:
I think it's just the animators goofin on us. Just like when Garnet picked up a spork in the movie and was like "oooooh" and the audience is sitting there like "lol fusion joke"

Haha yeah the show makes you think everything is so much deeper so you try to analyze everything because you might be able to figure out the next plot twist and it’s like ‘oh wait that was a joke’

Red and blue cables isn't a coincidence either I'm sure. Plus Greg replied that it doesn't matter because they're the same.
It could be because this garnet didnt have rose to tell her not to question herself because she was the answer just a thought though
That's exactly what's going on. She asked a lot of questions in "The Answer" until Rose said "no more questions." She incorporated that into her understanding of how to handle everything in her life--with absolute certainty and no room for questions. But she was naturally curious when she first formed and had so much to learn. This is naturally how she would be.
