Anniversary Challenge Part 2

Precaution: I had to stop half way through because I was crying while writing this. Just a fair warning for what I wrote here.

I had no intention of making this, but after seeing Cinna's emotional post about how Amino has helped her through a dark time in her life and I was moved.

I wanted to make a while post responding to two questions again, those being the friend question and the aforementioned change question.

I just listed off my friends in my first post and I felt as if that was lazy, so I want to go more in depth for them. I want to address these statements like they are directly to the person I am talking about. I have left some out, and added some because it depended on how much I had to say about them.

What Kind of Friends Have You Made in Amino? How did You Meet Them?

Gabe

As I stated before, you created the MOST Team, bringing together a mass amount of people to bond over creating an amazing post once or twice a month, but mainly to just bond over the MOST chat. Along with being a great person yourself, you helped bring so many people together and let me meet new people that I wouldn't otherwise of met. Along with running this team, you are one of the most active people on the amino I know, and even recently getting accepted as a trial member on the welcome team. You are just a great person overall Gabe, who have helped not just me, but so many other people together and make a family over at MOST.

Rain

Rain, I know you won't see this, as you seemed to have left amino and no one knows where you have gone. I just want to take the time and say that you inspired me to become a leader. You and me, but mainly you lead the charge in the third round of Amino Madness, and even though we didn't win, it was because of you that we even came close. I know you beat yourself up over the fact that we lost and you keep saying it was your fault, but we would of been crushed even harder had we not had you. You, just like Gabe, briught together an entire team, a family, to try and win. Even though we didn't accomplish it, you still inspired me to take charge and do what's best for the people. Rain you are an amazing person and we all love you here in SUA. We don't know where you are or if you are coming back, but we all want you to know that we love you and you made touched so many of our hearts here.

I hope you are ok and safe and that you return to SUA to where we can help you if you are ever down. We are all here for you, just like you were for us.

I haven't known you for long, but we immediately clicked after doing that tag team that got featured. It was an amazing idea. Congrats on that for you. I look forward to doing more tag teams with you as we had so much fun writing and counting down to posting that first one. It was just a great experience and I hope we have more like that.

While you and me aren't close in private chats or anything outside of MOST, but you and me just really bonded in that MOST chat. I don't know if you feel the same, but I think we are pretty good friends. I'd say we are pretty funny together in that chat. Sorry I don't have much to say for you, but I still think you and me are pretty good.

I think the same goes for you as for marigirl. While we aren't especially close in private chats, except for that one time we tried to prank the rest of the comic team, but other than that, I'd say inside that comic chat, we are just two good friends. I don't know how you feel obviously, but I just think that we clicked very well in the comic chat.

Just another great friend I am happy to have. You and me have so many good times just chilling in chats along with sgtlozpl. I don't even know what to say to you because our relationship is pretty simple, just chilling in the comic chat having good times. It's awesome and I couldn't ask anymore.

What can I even say? You have helped me through so many hard times in my life. You don't even know how many nights you've made better just by talking to me. I can't thank you enough because I have felt so much better because of you. You're one of my favourite people on this Amino just because you have gotten me through very dark times. Without or people like you, I don't even know if I would be here right now, due to the dark times I was in when we started talked. Hell, you started talking to me just because you loved my writing and saw that my emoji was a crying one. Little details like that have helped me keep going throughout life right now. I can't believe how much you've helped me without even seeing me. You're one of my best friends I've ever had and I can't thank you enough.

The legend yourself. While our relationship lies completely in the comments, I think that we chat often enough so that we have become pretty good friends online at least. I still stand by my decision that you are the greatest fan artist for anything ever, and you have made the best piece of fan art I've ever seen with your Vacations comic. Not only that, you can sing, play ukulele, write and analyze little things in the show, and create beautiful art. There isn't much to say but that you are someone with an immense amount of talent and I hope you get more recognition for anything you do because if SUA shows anything to me, is that you are one of the most talented people I've ever "met"

We haven't talked for long, but in the short time that we have interacted with each other, I think you deserve a paragraph where I talk about how awesome you are. I like to make jokes that humanity has no hope, but you are one of the people who make me doubt that. I don't know how you are in real life, but from what I've seen, you are so kind and sweet and caring and it's just beautiful. If the world could be more like you, it would be a better place. You're just an awesome person who is genuinely sweet from what I've seen and I wouldn't have a friend any other way.

How Has Amino Changes You As A Person?

Oh boy. While I have no problem talking my personal life, I don't want to go too in detail here because that might be considered off topic. I'll try and stay as relevant as I can here. Basically I'm not a happy person. I was wrongfully misdiagnosed, though I do have a mental illness. It's depression. I'm a teenager and I've already been through a lot. Homeless Shelters, Foster Parents, going to inner city schools as a lesbian. It's hard.

Though SUA, has indirectly helped me through all of that. Though it isn t and never will be a substitute to medication, it is a place to escape. I know it isn't healthy to idolize something like an app this much, but this ir where I can go to be happy. To be with friends who I genuinely like. This Amino has changed me as a person because it has made me a happier person who can appreciate life. I haven't been able to do that, but this app has provided me happiness in my life. Something that was missing.

Along with that, it has also lead me to meet some of the most inspirational people I could ever meet. While I have my role models like Chelsea Manning and Rebecca Sugar, I will likely never meet either of them. Instead, I get to meet some unfamous gems of humanity. People like Rain who co-ran a team with me that creates so many friendships, some that I still have to this day in this amino. People like Gabe who can lead official teams and bring people together into a family. People like HSM who give me hope that people could actually be nice. (I hate inner cities)

I would say that Steven Universe Amino has taught me lessons and just made my life so much better. To all the staff who lead this amino, Danika, OPP, Mith, Rose Sandra, Clock, Cinna, Annie, Kaya, Blueless, Anon, Centi, Kayago, Dom, Jamie, Rube, Ocean Kyanite, Cobalt. All of you have done an absolutely wonderful job running this amino and helping create a loving community of acceptance based off of a show about acceptance. All of you are amazing, and while I don't have any personal connections to any of you, I'm sure you are all amazing people. I can't say enough how thankful of you guys. This entire community wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for you guys. I hope you guys keep doing what you are doing and continue to be awesome.

Here's to another great year of Steven Universe Amino.
