Greetings, SUA!

The staff team would like to announce some changes to the guidelines that have been made over the past month. These changes are designed to both give you as a member of this community a more enjoyable experience, clarity to cases that may be indiscernible, and more community updates. Please proceed down this blog for more information.

First, there has been an update to public chat rooms. Public chats, including voice chats, are now allowed to be partially off-topic.

Chat cover images, titles, and descriptions must still be related to Steven Universe, but the conversations that occur within those public/voice chats are not required to stay completely Steven Universe related the entire time. This rule does not apply to screening rooms— all videos screened must be related to Steven Universe.

If a chat is entirely off topic in the three criteria listed above, it will be disabled.

Secondly, Guideline 15.f has been updated to be broader and cover a wider range of topics.

Previously, 15.f enforced that “any who falsely reports another (s) for NSFW, sensitive topics, bullying, or other serious topics will be striked, if not banned. All reports must have clear evidence.”

Now, Guideline 15.f includes all said above, however the method of reporting has been specified. False reporting is prohibited via either methods of flagging in bulk or reporting in chats such as the public report chat or a private message with a member of staff.

The updated guideline reads:

(15.f) Any who falsely reports another (s) for NSFW, sensitive topics, bullying, or other serious topics by false flagging in bulk or reporting in chats will be striked, if not banned. All reports must have clear evidence.

Finally, with a heavy heart, the SUA Staff would like to announce the retirement of the SUA Hangout Chat. The staff has reviewed, & found the chat to be an open opportunity for malicious s who attempt to use the chat’s large member count, to abuse the guidelines of this amino, & to expose our s to inappropriate, negative, or unsecured topics that they do not deserve to view.

Atop this review, the implementation of our new guidelines, regarding slightly off-topic public chats, will thus make the SUA Hangout Chat obsolete in it’s initial purpose. On August 5th, the SUA Hangout chat will be promptly closed permanently.

With this, we shall make a final departure with the beloved chat. From The Staff, We thank you for the memories this chat brought, and look forward to new horizons!
