Ladies, Gems.

While preparing Amber and Ava for the Gemsonaballs, I re-discovered two Yellow and Blue Diamond paintings I did a while back.

Both show a different take on watercolors, as im not entirely sure yet, how I want and/or should use this medium.

The first is more clean, though also softer.

And more obvious on my stance on shipping them, though I tried to keep it subtle for all of you who consider them sisters — which I obviously don’t.

Yes! Even Yellow can blush. And I wish I was as good as her when it comes to eyeliner. Man.

The second one was more of an experiment to be more daring, working quick and wet in wet, which is usually don’t.

And Now?

Well, to quote Goethe’s Faust: «And here I stand, with all my lore, / Poor fool, no wiser than before.»

I honestly like both, though I think the second approach suits the pair somewhat better, as it defines Yellow‘s hard features -compared to Blue‘s- rather nicely.

But a lot of people only see her harsh nature to begin with.

Not to mention that that technique stressed me quite a bit. For whatever reasons.

It was still fun. So we‘ll see.
