For the #SongtoSona challenge, I was given Fireflies by Owl City, and I was inspired to make Midnight Goldstone!

Midnight was made in a batch of experimental Goldstones, all of which emerged defected. Midnight was unable to form arms, and was given prosthetics.

The Goldstones were given the job of inspecting newly emerged Gems for defects. If a Gem is too imperfect to perform their job, the Goldstone must give them a shattering sentence.

To incorporate the song lyrics, I used the theme of insomnia in the song to give Goldstone a theme of apathy. She's become numb to sadness, and because of that, is unable to describe the feelings that keep her from ever resting.
