Erinite Lantern

This week I entered Lantern Challenge!! Here is what I came up with (;

This lantern represents my Erinite. I chose her because her design is inspired by Japanese culture, and the lantern I drew is also Asian-inspired. I decided to go with a double lantern that kind of imitates her body shape. The bar across the top is based on a pair of Japanese hairpins, with the spirals representing her curled pigtails. I don’t draw inanimate objects very often so this was a huge challenge for me, but I do like how it turned out (: I hope you like it too!!
