Aventurine's, Tai's, and Labradorite's gem placement — the top of the left foot — was chosen in direct reference to the phrase "Starting off on the right foot." Except that the gems are not on the right. They're on the left. They have started out on the wrong foot. Which perfectly describes how they all go about life.
