Jade Pearl

this pearl took a remote assignment far flung from common society. Despite expecting a lavish and caring home, Jade found themselves in a near-wasteland with nothing but their ... Unstable owner and another servant. The experience was overall negative, but gave Jade some greater freedoms and survival skills compared to others of their gem type. She was repossessed into a renting company after her owner failed in their mission, and thusly works under many gems for short times.

Jade is anxious and eager to please. They struggle with understanding other gems and are introverted. She's good at avoiding and neutralizing conflict since she's used to soothing the tempers and blue periods of her former owner. Very skittish and shy.

Penumbra

he/him • homosexual • not a gem!

Penumbra is an alien who lives on a planet hidden from most gems. They revere gems as heroes of myth, and Penumbra greatly ires them. Penumbra himself utilizes magic in combat, summoning stronger spirits to fight for him. It's considered a weak-willed form of battle and is looked down upon, especially considering his noble lineage. He deeply wishes to follow in the footsteps of his mother and make his prince proud - maybe a real gem could help him figure himself out?

Penumbra is soft spoken and calm. He presents a very neutral demeanor and doesn't show much stress or negative emotion on the outside. He's very intelligent and known for his deep study into magic, history, and legend. Loyal and kind.

Mengyao | Peach Orange Diamond

she/her • bisexual (masc lean)

As the diamond of a small moon, Mengyao shouldn't have TOO much business... Or this would be the case if it weren't for the latent power one can uncover upon her moon. Mengyao's diamond ability spreads her essence thin across her paradise, allowing other gems to absorb a fraction of her spirit and become more powerful. Many gems come to her moon to hone their abilities, which she doesn't really mind. She leaves the governing to her elites, making her more like a goddess to her people instead of a queen.

Mengyao is, for lack of a better word, out of touch. She struggles to connect to this era after the ing of her husband, and hasn't really left her home beyond festivals and rituals in thousands of years. This enhances her goddess-like image, but leaves her lonely. She has nothing to latch her to this moment, which leaves her blind to the political issues on her fair moon. Whether you seek power or friendship, Mengyao can provide.
