Nephrite

Uncorrupted Centi is the cutest thing to grace the show since Padparadcha(I'm sure I spelled that wrong), so of course I had to draw her.

The sketch:

I colored her gem/eyeball with a mix of dim green and yellow green and I used grayish olive, willow and verdigris for her skin.

This is the part where I wished I had a colorless blender but I made due with just brick white for her hair and the other fluffy bit. For the black parts I used a mix of olive and warm gray no.9 because I'm scared of using just solid balck and I also thought everything will look nicer with a hint of green in it.

And after I colored the diamonds with some rose mist and yellow green, I decided to experiment a bit. So I dropped some alcohol on the bottom edge and some of the diamonds, waited for a minute and wiped off the excess with a tissue. This is the scariest thing I tried in art in quite a while. I scanned it before I poured the alcohol, had two sheets of thick paper underneath so I wouldn't ruin the next pages in the sketchbook, but it turned out OK in the end. I actually wish I had used a bigger brush to get bigger blooms.
