OBJECTION!! ~DIY Zircon Gem~

Hello everyone! Guardian back again with my clay gems!

And this time I have finished our lovely blue lawyer...

Zircon!

Now I know I said I was going to do the Pearls, but my friend was planning on cosplaying Zircon, and they needed the gem and her tablet, ASAP! Sadly they can't get the blue face paint in time, rip.

Anyway, hope yall enjoy!

WARNING: YOU NEED A KNIFE FOR THIS GEM. HAVE PARENTAL SUPERVISION IF YOU PLAN ON MAKING THIS!

Time Taken: about 2 days total

Materials: Air Dry Clay, Knife, Ruler, a variety of Blue Paints, Gloss Medium, Super Glue

1) Alright, grab your clay, and roll it out. Make it as thin as you want. Get your ruler and measure a 2" inch square on all sides. Make two of these in total.

2) Make two diagonal lines from corner to its opposite corner, basically make an "X". Once you have your "X", measure 1" inbetween the lines. Your result should be a 1" square within the 2" square. Do this to both 2" squares.

3) Alright, we have the two 2" squares with the "X". Now, this is the knife part. Cut the area OUTSIDE the 1" square. The result should be four small trapezoids. And you should have the 1" square out too. Now its like a puzzle. Put the pieces back together. Except the trapezoids will go on at an angle. Have the second 2" square as a back up in case something goes wrong. Go one piece at a time, super glue them at an angle one by one. The result should be a square gem like shape.

Time to paint, first get a thin brush and using dark blue paint, paint in the crevices.

Now using all your blues, paint your gem. You may need to mix some colors but hey, thats okay.

PENNY, NO! AWAY FROM MY PAINT. YOU'RE GONNA PAINT YOURSELF! (She did get paint on her btw.)

Now once the clay has been painted, get the gloss medium to give it a shine.
