Our Last Happy Memory.

Hello. So this is a more serious drawing with more meaning behind it. Ahem.

On May of 2018, I ed this amino because my little 14 year old self was hyperfixated on Steven Universe, and by seeing people sharing the same interest I had I was more than excited to mess around on the app.

Within my first day, I had already made an oc, a moonstone. While they were a very underdeveloped character, I didn't care, I just wanted to see where I could go if I roleplayed with them.

And in that first week, I made possibly the best, most memorable friends I will ever know. And I didn't even know it yet.

I made my own fresh roleplay chat, while the show was still mainstream, and of course- people came rolling in. And three out of those people stuck around and made a long-term roleplay with me. With that, my moonstone simply couldn't exist without these characters my friends made.

And all these characters,,, they made a huge impact on my life. It was the best summer of my life when everything was carefree and colorful. And that was coming out of a mentally ill teenager.

Kid you not, exactly 4 years ago I was still playing with these people and I was having the time of my life. I miss that.

Since then, most of this friend group of mine disbanded due to huge life changes, soooo they got off for good. But I still think about them a lot, so I made a little tribute to them.

Hopefully this doesn't come off as obsessive- it's just that they were my only escape from a really tough home environment at that time, and I will always thank them for sticking by my side through most of it. And that's just friendship for me.

I won't lie when I say that I REALLY trusted the process on this drawing, it took all day to finish it but I kept drawing to the point I knew it was perfect and presentable.
