Hello! Sketchy here and I am excited to show you guys a custom! Finally! It’s been a rough couple of weeks for art but I finally got a custom done and despite the trial and error, it was totally worth it! I really like the design and think I did well (especially compared to the start), if I didn’t get any he wouldn’t have looked as good as he does now. Speaking of, this custom is for VOIDSTONE ^^!

A lesson in art real quick: The details and Voidstone gave me were awesome, every time I sent progress I’d get good and notes from them. I wont lie, I did get exhausted and took a break from it. To me, it felt tiring and disheartening that the custom wasn’t automatically amazing and exactly what they wanted off the bat. With all art though, it takes time- and it won’t be perfect in the first few rough drafts. Sometimes you have to take a step back, evaluate all notes and details from your client, and try again. I’m glad I took their , otherwise it would have felt like a sham and poor design- making something and not having my client get what they wanted. It was a new experience and lesson to be learned for me: that my art and designs wont always be 100% perfect at the start, and that’s okay. I’m not sure where I’m going with this but maybe it’ll help any other artists out there that are like me ^^’.

Also! I’m not saying everyone has to take or critiques of their art- in this specific case, I was making a drawing of someone else’s design details- and to me it’s pretty much in the client’s hands to critique and give (on the design of course) so they can get exactly what they imagined or wanted. That’s just my opinion though ^^, it really helped me in making a better design than what I had originally had in this instance!
