At last! The results!

I thank all of you for being so patient with me. Today was very busy, as well as my not feeling very well D:

Three Pearls were chosen from the entries to my Pearl, Black (“Mystic”) Pearl on this magical quest! This was kind of a hard contest for me to judge, because while the entries all had nice designs, unfortunately some of the backstories didn’t follow the rule to keep them canon to Steven Universe in regards to the Pearl’s personality, history, and the “no weapon” policy. But that’s okay! You all still made some amazing Pearls, and I hope to see you use them for things!

Anyway, on to the results!

I loved this Pearl’s cute lil design! She reminds me of a very 60’s or 70’s book nerd and I just instantly loved her. Fuchsia has personality, but a personality that works within the canon, and I can’t wait to work her into the story!

I love the idea of a giggly, happy, ditzy Pearl?? She’s so sweet and young and innocent. Cinnamon Roll! Her design is lovely as well, I love her like behive hair? It’s super cute. I can’t wait to write this bubbly sunshine puppy!

Lavender Pearl

I was honestly really glad this Pearl came out to be so lovely. Then again, I honestly expected nothing less from this peach! Lavender is the perfect mix of canon Pearl’s stammering nervousness with the artist’s very own ideas! I love her relationship with her owner, Lavender Chalcedony, and I can’t wait for her to be the voice of reason with these crazy Pearls!

As I said, all your designs were absolutely lovely, thank you to everyone who entered!! I intend to start writing tomorrow after work, so hopefully I can have the first chapter out soon! TheDankArts has agreed to do the cover art for the story, so once everything is done, I’ll link you all to the story!
