"Onyx!" Edith runs after Onyx. Chasing after him.
Kyanite wiped her tears away and looks at Jasper. The buff Gem seemed furious. However, he brushed it off. He places his hand on Kyanite's shoulder.
" C'mon, we can't leave her behind."
Jasper runs after Edith.
Kyanite watches Jasper exit the base. She slowly looks around the base. She then shakes her head and follows Jasper.

Edith finally manages to reach Onyx. Only to realize the warpad that he's standing on. Onyx turns around quickly to see the human.
Edith and Onyx met eyes. But the dark gem sighs in frustration, looking away. He then warps. The human runs for it, she jumped right on time to warp alongside him.
In a few seconds, she fell roughly on the floor. She notices that they were in a forest. The dirt ground, clusters of bushes and trees surround them. She gives Onyx a worried expression. Once again, the Dark Gem ignores and turns away.
Edith hears the warpad activate from the behind. She glances behind to see Kyanite and Jasper. Just in time to catch the leader. Kyanite stood beside Edith, as so Jasper stood in front of the two.
" Onyx! Why are you running from us?"
Jasper asks.
His voice sounding brittle. Causing it show his fear that he couldn't hide.
" Just leave me alone."
Onyx warned, summoning his weapon.
The blade of the sword reflects the sunlight, shining it. Jasper glances back to his teammates worriedly. Kyanite and Edith stared at the dark Quartz. Jasper faces back towards his leader.
This caused Onyx to be on high alert. In a split second, he aimed his sword at the blue Quartz. Onyx looks down at his opponent.
" Leave!"
Onyx shouted.
" Onyx. Why are you doing this? Why did you-"
" Just leave! You never needed me anyways."
Onyx scoffed. He lowers his sword and sighs.
' You never needed me.'
Those words. Somehow, it annoyed Edith. She shoves Kyanite and Jasper away to stand and face in front of her friend.
" That's Not True!"
She shouted back.
Onyx was startled by her actions. He took a step back, just a step. He looks away.
" That's what you think. I'm a stratagem warrior. Isn't that enough to be a threat to you? I can..."
Onyx doesn't finish. But even as he says it, he continues to glare at Edith.
" But I know you won't!"
Edith extends her arms, as if waiting for a hug.
" And you won't hurt me!"
The human smirked.
She knows Onyx won't hurt her. After all, they're friends. Jasper and Kyanite stood behind Edith, paralyzed about the situation the human has gotten herself into.
Onyx growled lowly.
" You really are asking for it."
Onyx walks towards her, his sword dangling at his side.
Edith showed no emotion to that statement. Showing no fear, believing her friend won't hurt her.
Finally, as the two life long friends stood in front of each other. One embracing, and one dissented. Onyx raises his sword. Lowering down towards the human. Waiting to slash its next victim in half. Edith shuts her eyes tightly.
SCRAAAPE!
Edith felt a horrible pain on her right cheek. She felt a burst of wind hit her. Causing herself to topple and fall to the ground. She struggles and manages to sit up straight.
Looking up, fixing her vision from blurriness to clear. She sees Kyanite standing in front of her, blade ring in hand. Onyx stepped forward, towards the blue Gem. Edith realized that Kyanite saved her. Onyx DID mean to hurt her, kill her with his sword. But he was stopped by the blue gem, Kyanite.
" Kyanite."
Edith stared at the Gem holding the blade ring.
Kyanite paid no attention to the human. Instead, she stood in front of her leader. Onyx seemed displeased about her quick actions. Kyanite sees his reaction towards her deed. Jasper crouches to check if Edith was alright. The human assured him.
" You were intentionally trying to murder her. Weren't you?"
Kyanite growls.
Onyx bit his lower lip. He grins, amazed by Kyanite's performance. He claps all of a sudden. Chuckling a bit.
" Sure was! Disappointed that I didn't. What. A. Shame."
He says, his voice going lower by each word.
" Are you Crazy?! Who are you?!"
Kyanite lowers her weapon to her sides. Glaring at the dark Gem.
" The Onyx that you never knew."
The dark Gem smiles.
