I thought it’d be cool to have a gem OC with antennae to make them look more alien—but we haven’t really seen any gems with antennae, and I don’t want to deviate too much from canon.

But we have seen fusions with mismatched body parts! Malachite, for instance, has 4 arms where 2 legs should be. So, I figured it wouldn’t be far fetched to have a fusion with antennae-like arms on her head.

Meet Diaspore! She’s the fusion of a Peridot, Pearl, Lapis, Spinel, and Sapphire. That’s a lot, I know.

I don’t have a ton of info for her yet, but I’ll leave a few fun facts:

•she’s about as tall as Alexandrite and shares her second mouth feature, but she’s more stable and has her own personality

•her Peridot, Pearl, and Sapphire components were a part of Yellow Diamond’s court

•her Spinel and Lapis components belonged to Pink and Blue Diamond’s court, respectively

•her fusion was not born from romance, but out of the strong friendship that her components shared
