“The Birth of Blue Bell” and Entry for the Earth To SUA Writing Challenge!

Hello everyone! I’m doing something a bit different today! Some I’ve thought may not know but I love to write it’s a ion, a pastime, and an anxiety/stress reliever. So, what perfect thing to do than participate in a Steven Universe Writing challenge!

First things first, what was our prompt?

You find yourself pondering, hearing rumors and propaganda all about “Earth”. A distant planet known for the devious Crystal Gems and their Rebellion stationed on the planet. After a vile strike from the diamonds, all life was corrupt until a young ‘off-spring’ of the bubbling Pink Diamond filled the lifeless planet of love once again. Now, you hear rumor of Gems returning, on better . The planet now a rehabilitation for those corrupted- or gems who want to adapt to a more free-willed life.

Now, is your time to write! Indulge in this prompt, and write away on your gems experiences on the new life Earth provides! While some are welcoming to the ideology, others may not.. Some, may dismiss the planet’s opportunities and suppress this freedom.

How long did it take me?

well I started it a bit before posting a comment under it so I could have a time stamp so I put the comment at... 2 hours! It took me two hours to write this! I dunno that it’s my best work but it’s the best I can do at 5:45am.

now that all of that is settled...

Onto the story!

Click, clack, click, clack. That was all that was herd in the old abandoned diamond facility corridor. The turquoise gem was pacing as she scratched her chin in thought. “Well what if-“ the red gem was cut by Aquamarine as she pointed her baton at him “no.” “But if we-“ “no.” “But I-“ “no.” “But-“ “no!” The bickering between the ruby(Eyeball) and the Aquamarine went on for what seemed like ours but was only a few second in their concept of time. Aquamarine stamped her tiny foot making a loud click sound that echoed around the place. “Fine! Go on!” She said before pointing her baton back at the ruby as she began to open her mouth to speak “but If its terrible I swear I’ll-“ she was cut by the ruby cowering in fear, it gulped before speaking “you’ll what?” With that aquamarine smirked. She placed her elbow in her left hand while her right held her baton, she then tapped the baton against her eye before putting her hand up and crushing an imaginary gem in her hand “Crack-“ she said in a seething tone.

The shattered gem in her hand was imaginary but Ruby got the message loud and clear, so loud and clear in fact that she almost felt a sharp pain in the back of her gem. She thought about what she would say before speaking up, she gulped before proceeding “What if we fused?” Ruby asked. “Huh?” Aquamarine seemed quite shocked with the offer, no one had ever asked to fuse with her before, mostly because they and she both knew she was to good for them to fuse with her. Though now, the offer seemed a bit intriguing.

“Go on then, what’s your big idea with Fusion?” Aquamarine demanded as her wings filtered out from her gem to form wings. She flew up and backwards so that she was able to sit on the throne, the very same throne that once belonged to her diamond, blue diamond. The mere thought of what had happened to blue made gut churn and she wanted to puke. The once strong-ish and powerful and cold diamond, was now corrupted and infected by the goodness and kindness that was Steven Universe and his fellow Crystal Gems, the same Crystal Gems try were currently plotting their revenge against.

“Well you herd about what happened at the pink diamond ball, it was turned into a fusion party!” Ruby said and threw her hands up exasperatedly. Aquamarine quickly nodded “yes! I herd I started cause pink fused with a human! His... Connie I believe is what he called her last time.” The though sent a shiver up her spine “I mean can you imagine? Fusing with a lowlife such as a human? I didn’t even know that was possible!” Aquamarine said in quite obvious disgust. Ruby just nodded “yes well then his gem friends fallowed him. They seem quite big on the idea of fusions being able to be themselves, maybe we can use that to our advantage?” Ruby suggested as she tapped her hands on the crystal floor, even in the darkness it sparkles like a prism with a flash light. Aquamarine snapped her fingers and pointed at the gem “yes!” Then her smile faded “oh no that’ll never work! They’ll totally be hesitant of a random gem appearing and saying they want to start a new life with Crystal gem! How crazy would we sound?” She said as she slipped off the large throne and down to the floor below her with a loud, Click. Ruby slipped on the floor where she was and nodded “well now

what are we supposed to do?”

Almost as if on cue a broadcast came up which immediately caught their attention. The last broadcast they had gotten was Pink telling everyone he was going back home to live with his human friends once again. This one was a different however, an ad of some sort and it made the two gems angry beyond comprehend.

“Hey all you gem in the universe! Have you been feeling lost, and Confused in the this new era? Well, Then come on down to little homeschool!”

Ruby and Aquamarine looked at each other in a knowing manner before they both let out gut wrenching laughs that were filled with pure rage and hate red for the young diamond who had just given them their ticket to revenge.

“Everyone deserves a chance to change! So, come on down today!”

A suddenly there was no longer two sets of laughters, there were no longer two gems plotting revenge, there was no long the impending feeling of giving up. There was only the one gem a combination of the two.

“Oh we will Steven universe, we will.”

With that Eyeball was born. And she was ready for destruction.
