Hey, it's BTE, back with another theory!!! I'm sorry I haven't done one of these in a while, but this one isn't half bad. Spinel and I were texting about two of the new episodes (so beware of slight spoilers, though we don't talk directly about any events in them). This theory is long, but discusses both the Crystal Gem Pearl and Pink Pearl. If you want a shortened version, skip to the end.
Spinel: Hey!!! Have you watched the new episodes yet??
Me: Got to watch two of them. The one about the election and the one about the vacation.
S: Yeah the second one is most important
Me: Yeah. Plus it basically proved that Pearl is unable to talk about Homeworld and the Diamonds.
S: ... No if you think about it she may have something to do with what happened. She may have even help instigate the war.
Me: She literally couldn't tell Steven anything about it, so whether it's from guilt or some weird function of Pearls she can't talk about it.
S: Hmm I like the second idea... Makes you wonder if she can be programmed or something. Or made to require a secret
Me: It lends credence to the idea that she belonged to a diamond. They would be making huge decisions, can't have a Pearl be able to divulge that information without permission. In Harry Potter, there are house elves. They're essentially servants/slaves. They can't tell people anything if their masters tell them not to. One even hit himself with a lamp because he tried to do so.
S: Exactly what I was thinking. Since her "authority" figure is gone she has no like permission to give anything out.
Me: Yup. That's probably why the cgs couldn't take out Homeworld easier. She couldn't tell them what she knew. I mean she obviously belonged to someone powerful. Peri comments on that ("You're a nice one! Who do you belong to?"), and by real life standards, her gem is almost a perfect pearl. Just a tad to ovular.
S: Oooooh yes yes... She must have been super fancy like she could have belonged to pink diamond maybe.. But the placement of the gem is off...
Me: White diamond has a forehead gem. Plus she isn't a pink pearl. Going by her gem she has perfect white pearl colouration. I have believed for a while that she belonged to White Diamond.
S: Same. There's no way she isn't her Pearl.
Me: As for Pink Diamond's Pearl, we actually don't know anything about pink p if memory serves me. There's some people who believe that the pearl in Rhodonite is her, but rhod stated that they belonged to a morganite.
Me: So pink Pearl's whereabouts are completely unknown to us. Supposedly, the only one of the diamonds pearls we know nothing about. Maybe she was destroyed after pink was killed? She wouldn't serve a purpose to Homeworld anymore... Or...
Me: She was shattered, left on Earth, and got corrupted. Big Bird's gem was in shards. And it's got a pink and pink-toned colouration.
S: Hmm but the bird is too brown... The colors of a mutant are based on whatever colors are present on the gem.
Me: But all of it has pink undertone. Not to mention how Jasper discoloured upon corruption.
S: Well she had fused with a green gem. But I guess if we took away that factor I could see where you're coming from.
Me: A jasper gemstone, followed by a pink pearl.
Me: Pink Pearl's are pink with a brown tint. It's almost exactly the colours of big birds wings.
S: Yeah yeah!! I can see it XD but the location of the 'pearl' in the bird was where exactly? Also if it was a pearl I could believe it because like a pearl it was storing things inside of it!
Me: Big Bird's gem wasn't visible. It only revealed when the monster was poofed. And then it was in shards. And yeah! We already thought Big Bird was a pearl, so it really makes sense.
S: But yeah. It would only make sense if Big Bird was a pearl because of the storing that it does, the mini birds (Pearl's can make holograms of themselves), and the coloration.
Me: Exactly! We may know where Pink Diamond's Pearl went, Spinel...

In Summary:
Pearl can not talk about Homeworld or the Diamonds. This is likely a built in function of Pearls so that without their owners permission, they can not give away important information.
The Bird Gem Corruption may be Pink Diamond's Pearl due to colouration, abilities, and it's shattered gem.

This is a pretty well put together theory but i have one thing that i don't think you researched enough. It's just the fact that you said that Pearl had to be White Diamonds Pearl. She could literally be any one's Pearl! Just because she has a gem on her forehead and she has "white" coloring. Also about that ahe has a "white" coloring, i have absolutely no idea why you said that because she doesn't literally all of her colors are not white! She's probably either a Rainbow Pearl or a Creamrose Pearl it just doesn't make any sense. I have another evidence that she is NOT a White Pearl or has "White" coloring. The fusion between Rose and Pearl makes RAINBOW Quartz, if you were to actually mix together white and pink it is literally impossible to get a rainbow but if you mix pink with rainbow colors you get a somewhat pink rainbow! There you go, you got Rainbow Quartz colors. Another evidence, All of Pearls fusions would so much different if she was a white pearl as you said she was, Sardonyx would be light pink or purple, Alexandrite would definitely be a lot lighter, Opal wouldn't have green, yellow or blue on her. See Pearl definitely NOt be a White Pearl because of so many reasons and I think you should've done a lot more research instead of jumping to conclusions, now I'll list some other things you could use against me but I'll disprove it.
Q: "Maybe because Pearl is Rainbow maybe White is Rainbow too maybe she is a White Pearl!"
A: Well then why isn't she called Rainbow Diamond that would just make more sense, andit was even shown in her mural that she was White in color so no. Also no she can't be a white pearl I've already said that, her colors reflect that of a Rainbow Pearl and her fusions show that too. When i watch the episodes i don't see Pearl walking around in a only white color pallet with maybe some greys or blacks.
Q: "But if she was a single color she would look really boring and no one would like her!"
A: Well look at Blue Pearl and Yellow Pearl, both of them gave very limited color pallets and are some of the most popular characters, you don't have to have a lot of colors to be popular.
Q: "But if she wasn't White Diamond's Pearl then she wouldn't be fancy or have any relevance at all."
A: There are a lot of things wrong with this but whatever. If Pearl was very fancy as Peridot stated then Holly Blue Agate wouldn't want to see Sapphire walking around with one and would get much more suspicious earlier than she did and she wouldn't treat Pearl as bad as she did. And it was even stated that literally any gem can get a Pearl if the do something of worth on Homeworld like Eyeball stated. So really she could be a Peridot's Pearl for all we know. And even If she did it would be much cooler for her to be a lower classed gem's Pearl because then she went up in the ranks as a gem in a rebel group. Pearl could even be a ownerless pearl truthfully as she says we might never know.

Look, since we can't even agree on which of those looks more like Pearl's GEM (not even her, just her gem) then I think we should agree to disagree. You have your theory, I have mine, let's accept that we see things differently and move on.
I see your point but she could’ve changed her outfit when she chose the Crystal Gems’ side. That is why all her fusions are a bit more colorful. But I mean what do I know XD.

An I have a question thats only kinda related I guess.
What do you think happened to all the other gems & stuff that were in the big birds belly?
Cause where all that could have went is bothering me like a heck ton. Idk it just does.
