Toy Review: Steven Large Plush

Here's a brief toy review of the Steven Large Plush.

The Steven Large Plush is 12 inches tall and I purchased him from the Cartoon Network store.

Not to be confused with the Toy Factory Steven.

Now, this was the first available plush that I coming out. It has some obvious minuses, but first let's talk the pluses.

His Gem is visible under a nice soft shirt that lifts up. It has a pentagonal front facet that's basically accurate.

The feet are detailed and cute.

The clothing has good details, including pockets.

The minuses come in with the overall expression and head shape. His face just has an overall disturbing expression--something's really vacant and off about it.

His ears are a weird folded flap, and his face sort of bulges out in a way that looks aesthetically strange instead of cute like it is on the cartoon.

And the overall effect of his curly hair doesn't come through; he just has a lumpy head.

I actually have two Stevens of this type.

I have two because I purchased one from the CN store and then I kept getting notifications that it wasn't released yet and the estimated date of release got pushed forward a month...three times before I finally called them. And they were like "oh it's shipping in the next few days." But it didn't and I got another postponing notice. So I called again and said they should cancel the order and I would try to get it elsewhere, and they again said it was due to ship in the next couple days and they can't cancel if it's almost shipping. So I said okay, when it gets postponed again, cancel it then. They said they would but that if it shipped they couldn't cancel. So of course I got a postpone notice and ordered the plush from somewhere else. About a month later I got the one from them that they said they would cancel. Whatever man. I wasn't gonna send him back after all that. :joy: :heart:

So I have two and it's fine.
