Welcome everyone! The Event Team is back to bring up a wonderful event for our community. This month’s festivity is the Homestuck x SUA Crossover event! Unsure of what Homestuck is? A short description along with all else are provided to you below!

❛ 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐧 ❜

Homestuck is an online Webcomic, with over 8,000 pages! Homestuck was created in April of 2009, making an end in 2016, by Andrew Hussie. The general description reads as "a tale about a boy and his friends and a game they play together." It’s main human characters are John Egbert, Dave Strider, Rose Lalonde, and Jade Harley, alongside their many friends who are called trolls. Their game is titled “Sburb”, or “Sgrub” to the trolls. This game is akin to a Life Simulation Game, with a few major differences that change their lives completely.

❛ 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐭 + 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ❜

Homestuck is invading Steven Universe and this is causing near and far to change! To participate in this crossover event, the creative limits are endless! You can Homestuckify a canon character/OC, or do a Homestuck character meet X character from Steven Universe, or your own OC for that matter! Feel free to get fairly creative with this crossover’s prompt!

Participation for this event is as simple as our other events! You are to homestuckify a canon character or an SU character, then once you’re done you simply have to post it in a blog and use the hashtag #HomestuckxSUA2020 !

For my example entry, here I've put both of the main characters from each series together!! Steven Universe and John Egbert are our starting protagonists for both fandoms, and as they grow and develop, they both meet many more characters who help them mature along the way. Even more similar is that both characters befriend their own alien race and gain new powers and abilities as well! Here, since they're both(almost) human, I went for a simple clothes-swap, however I'd also love to try and see how their alien friends would look if they swapped species entirely!!

You are allowed a single entry, but this entry can be both based with writing and arts, of any form.

When submitting, be sure your post has the Hashtag within the description, #HomestuckxSUA2020 !

Present good sportsmanship, and do not harass, verbally put down, or hurt any over their entry, or anything pertaining to it.

Plagiarism is absolutely not acceptable within any SUA Event. Do not copy, steal, or heavily base your entry off of another ’s entry, or an existing prompt similar to this.

Alongside being your own, your artwork must be new, and NOT an older post, with the hashtag put on it. This will lead to immediate disqualification.

Be sure to have fun! This event may be a competition, but make sure to have fun with your entry, and selection!
