It depends fully on the but regularly it's like... 11-12, i do a lot of collapsing tho, where i draw on a separate layer but then combine with the one under/over if its relevant

My colour layer for example is one big layer that i clip the multimple shade/highlight layers to and such, same with background, but i tend to draw/colour in things separately before combining them. Honestly my layer count is fully dependent on wbat kind of s I'm making wether or not theres extra hard poses or i want a character to pop out if the
