Why There's a Possibility That Steven Will Corrupt.

Hello, I'm Toaster! I don't post much but that'll change. Anyway, we all know or at least heard of the Corrupted Steven Theory and in case you haven't noticed, I it too. It just makes too much sense to me.

This post will be based on facts I found during my research, so please bear with me. Now, we will be covering why there is a possibility that Steven could get corrupted in the new episodes of SUF. I have researched and watched videos of other people talking about it, so that's where I get some of my information from. Here we go!

Here's what we know about corruption.

• Gems can corrupt due to

- Psychological reasons

- Fusing with a corrupted gem

- The Diamonds' "Flash of Bright Light"

That's all we need to know about it for now.

That's all the original series covered, right? Well, since Steven Universe Future is "tying up every loose end," we are getting more information on what's happened to characters like Volleyball, the Rose Quartzes that were once bubbled, etc. The original series never confirmed that Steven couldn't get corrupted and we might just get more information on it!

Like The Roundtable stated, gems may poof to avoid corrupting. It's the gem's way of self-defense. Let's take Spinel for example. She was heartbroken after Pink Diamond abandoned her, she felt such intense emotions to where she poofed and reformed as the Spinel we know today. What would've happened if she couldn't poof? She could've possibly corrupted due to being more vulnerable with her emotions.

Steven can't poof (because he's half gem, half human), so his gem cannot protect him from corrupting. As we can see in SUF, Steven is dealing with problems with his emotions. He fears being left behind. Steven is isolating himself from his friends, he's keeping all of these problems to himself.

One day it'll get to him and he'll snap completely. Maybe him snapping will cause his corruption? That's all I have say about this topic. It isn't much but I'm sure if I can say anything else.

So, will Steven corrupt? Well, who knows? But we'll see what happens on Friday (airs at 7PM in EST timezone, don't miss it!), maybe I'm right. Maybe I'm wrong. Anything could happen. Again, I apologize for the short post. I might just post more theories and info because well, it's fun!
