blue goldstone, a more stern however optimistic character, is a higher ranked gem. she leads a large squadron with her own sapphire, and an array of quartz’s. being a homeworld gem she has her own ship and will have them her on various missions to colonise, explore, gather resources, and so fourth.

to her dismay, their ship is undergoing maintenance on the day of an incredibly important and credible mission, so they are made to forces with a red goldstones squadron. still optimistic about the mission, she continues on, until she realises this particular goldstone is much better then herself. she’s efficient, she’s bold, and she shines like the sun. that entire mission she is grumpy and moody about being beaten by some other goldstone, but cannot keep her out of her head.

eventually she decides to build the courage to ask if they could forces again, possibly more long term instead of a one time mission. red goldstone agrees, and from then on their squadrons trained and conquered as one.

throughout this unlikely pact, something else unlikely occurred between the two goldstones, a friendship. in their spare time in homeworld they would attend balls together, have childish like sleepovers at eachother’s dormitory, and talk.

they would talk and talk, for hours on end. their missions would be filled with laughter and their two squadrons got along just as well. while walking back to their dormitories, something seemed off. blue turned to red, who was twiddling her fingers and looking anywhere other then blue’s eyes. when she enquires, the usually cocky red has a moment of weakness, and finally meets blue’s gaze.

it was then that red confessed her feelings toward blue, and the star-crossed lovers began a new chapter together. their before childish sleepovers now more intimate, their balls together no longer gossipy but romantic. obviously their squadron could tell and loved watching this enemies to lovers arc unfold.
