Personality

Clover is a reckless gem with a love for fighting. After growing bored of entertaining his Moldavite, Clover sought more extreme ways to entertain himself, eventually leading him to fight in the war against the diamonds simply for entertainment. He often jumps very quickly into dangerous situations, not fearing the consequences of his actions because he has complete confidence that everything will work out fine. Being a spinel, Clover makes friends easily and charms other gems with his outgoing attitude. He holds his friends dearly and vows to stand in any danger for them, not always pulling through.

At first, Clover was your typical spinel, accompanying his “best friend,” a Moldavite, and trying to please her in any way he could. He was typically confined to the quarters next to Moldavite’s, where he would stay by himself until she came to see him. Moldavite was the head of research for new gem varieties, and Spinel gained a lot of information about different gems from her ramblings.

While Clover initially much enjoyed his visits with Moldavite, he inevitably grew bored of this simple and lackluster “fun” and seeked more. He began to leave his room, disguised as other gem types that he knew from Moldavite, and he did this each day and started to grow a liking to traditional gem culture. However, he wanted more. He wanted the freedom to both be able to have fun and entertain others and live as a normal gem. He simply wasn’t satisfied with choosing one over the other.

When word of a cross-court alliance started to spread, Clover realized that this was his chance to choose both. Disguised as an Emerald, Clover commandeered a ship and piloted it to the Alliance, ing their ranks. He now fights in their war against the diamond authority.
