Bio:

Dory is an Era 1 gem and was created in the Prime kindergarten of Neptune, in teal stone.

Her Era of labradorites was born with the knowledge of Pre-war Homeworld mechanical engineering. They oversaw and collaborated with the Bismuth and Trapiche (or whatever gem Centipeedle will be) building teams.

Dory believed at that time the most interesting thing in her life was when the Aquamarine guards would by, that was until the war.

When the Gem war started a heavy population of the labradorite engineer crew followed the bismuths and other gems to freedom with the Crystal Gems. Dory, being the smartypants she was, knew the Crystal Gem rebellion would eventually collapse or be destroyed so she opted to continue her job with what was left of the loyal Trapiche's and Bismuth's.

And it worked, for some time she was able to completely block the thoughts of the war out of her head with the steady sound of engines and metal pounding until her crew was drafted into the war.

Dory was no soldier by any regards so marching shoulder-to-shoulder with Quartz's and stronger gems was somewhat comforting til they were met with resistance.

A CG group had ambushed her division and the field was in turmoil, dory summoned her sword ready to fight but what stood in front of her was one of the Aquamarine guards she always regarded with such awe, the fight was very one-sided with the other gem quickly dismarming Dory and poofing her.

Dorys gem dropped to the floor and she seemed certain she'd be shattered, she was so weak after all…..but she wouldn't let that stop her, as soon as she began to form again she quickly took on a new Reform, with shorter hair and much more functional clothing, the CG's just laughed for a moment and she quickly feinted their half hearted strike and cut straight through the form of the Aquamarine, the others were left slack-jawed and she took advantage of that driving them back enough for several Quartz soldiers to reform or recover and they eventually drove the rebels back.

Dory, still shaken by her feats in combat, was noted for her bravery and granted a brief audience with THE Blue Diamond.

When she entered there SHE stood, the magnificent leader, Blue Diamond, along with her very cute blue pearl. Standing to the side was another pearl, except this one was pink.

Dory was given the task to take the pearl imposter, A Rhodochrosite believe it or not, and command her til the end of the war.

Dory realized immediately after the meeting with Blue Diamond this was going to be much much harder than she thought, she had hoped this would be much easier than some escort mission, that the Rhodochrosite would display some aptitude in fighting. But when inquired about it it was realized that “Rho” really WAS a pearl, even if just slightly, Dory declared that day that she would make sure her new, and only friend would survive to live the life of her choosing.

Guarding Rho did come with some advantages as even though she was ordered to fight, no Homeworld gem wanted a pearl in battle so they were usually left in the back, which was fine with Dory.

Near the close of the war they were sent to earth for the final conflict.

Still stationed near the Galaxy Warps they only met meager conflict of Crystal Gems trying to flank the reinforcements.

When the order was sent out for all homeworld gems to retreat a lot of Crystal gems made chase, poofing the retreating gems. Dory ordered Rho to stay on the Warp Pad and she ran off the Galaxy Warp pads and began grabbing any random gems she could until Rho grabbed her and pulled her back to the Warps and they were beamed up to Homeworld ships in high orbit. Dory set down the gems and eventually they begun to form, when they manifested it was realized some of the rescued gems were Crystal Gems, dory figured they'd be imprisoned since the diamonds had just ended the war but instead all the Homeworld gems began mercilessly hacking and slashing then crushing the gems she had worked so hard to save.

Afterwards, Dorys mission was complete and Rho was gifted to a Yellow diamond gem and Dory was promoted to captain of an Engineering vessel whose job was to go to gem controlled planets and fix damaged ships or cracked warp pads.

For many 1000s of years Dory was alone with her crew but she never forgot the memories of the Pink ‘Pearl' whom she befriended, between them had been minuscule given Pearls never really had free time.

Somehow Dory got lucky along the way and apparently repaired the ship of somebody famous amongst Homeworld and was given a number of favors as well getting a few perks out of it.

Eventually Rho's master, Yellow Scapolite, got wind of the Labradorite and got into with her about a collaborative  mission, scouting a hostile planet, earth. Dory agreed but only with the exception she would get to borrow her pearl.
