All Nighters and Pretending to Sleep

My entry for the #GhibliFanfic challenge, hope you enjoy.

As the mover of Howl's Castle, I really don't get around much. The only times I get around are when Howl takes me out of the fireplace and forced me to help cast a moving spell to the castle. The times the castle is empty, I like to either keep myself entertained or fall asleep. I sleep a lot due to the fact that I really can't keep myself entertained but you know, at least I can pull all nighters.

Once, Howl had caught me in the middle of an all nighter. It was a weird experience where I questioned why Howl was up at this time and he didn't seem to question why I was up. He probably thought that I was watching the castle or something. He turned for a split second and I fell asleep. Or, faked it. I don't know what happened after I faked slumber but i heard Howl going upstairs so that means he was gone and i could wake up.

...........I'm hungry. This is the worst possible case for me. I can't see the clock but I think it's around 3 am. Only 4 more hours until Howl wakes up. Sophie likes to sleep in though. Markl does too. But he's a little boy, he needs the sleep. I reach for a log and rest on it. Four more hours......four more hours......

Huh? Why do I hear voices? It's....9 am. I ed out it seems. Sophie is awake yet Markl isn't. Heen is running around, barking. That's annoying. Sophie goes up to me. I probably look really tired. I was cooked on. There are egg shells beside me. Finally! I eat the egg shells and that hunger from 3 am is satisfied. Well, time to start the day. The castle is busy and I'm awake.
