I chose to change up the art a little too

mmkay well I hadn’t originally planned

to make this since i don’t have much time

at the moment but... gash ive been itching

to try out this kinda art style and I after being

blessed by this gorgeous ghiblet’s magical

post I felt way too inspired úvù :fallen_leaf:

so... basically for this drawing i

made a playlist of songs I love that

give me cozy autumn vibes ♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪

and for each, I drew a lil “album cover”

of scenes from ghibli films that give

that same fuzzy orange feeling

okie dokie~ well originally I chose

the cozy songs and scenes, unrelated

to each other... but the more I listened

them the more similarities I saw between

certain lyrics and the films so here are

my explanations and links to each song

soo much, and to me the lofi aesthetic of her

music reminds me of drifting dry leaves

adorable scene at the end of whisper of the

heart >< hugs are so cozy and warm, so

Shizuku and Seji gave me mega autumn

the soft guitar and and harmonies eeeeee

lyrics like “the outside it bashes us in” ...

”bashes us about a bit”... “feel it tugging

you, ploughing you flat” all describe the

wind but also remind me of the sweeping

aesthetic rain in totoro! ú v ù

so so so muchh- watching the animated

rain drizzle and splash makes my woolly

jumper feel that much cosier watching it

for me are glowing warm little lights...

and the view of the outside of the

bathhouse in spirited away, with

glowing lanterns in the rain-welp

that feels dang cozy to me ><

the melody of this song, combined with other

layers of guitar and chords- it reminds me of

piles and piles of autumn leaves. The lyric

“id hold your hand when the sky fell apart”

makes me think of the unbalance of the

world in Ponyo and the falling moon ><

𝚂 𝙲 𝙴 𝙽 𝙴 • so yeahh the lyrics remind

me of Ponyo, and the title too ><

to me that steamy bowl of ramen

is one of the cosiest Ponyo autumn

vibes ever so I drew it for this hehe

aww man the connections with lyrics are

so saaadd .°(ಗдಗ。)°. Firstly the title...

Setsuko dying is that light going out

(´༎ຶོρ༎ຶོ`) and then the “sicker every day”

and then finally part goes “hair covered

in popcorn” which- (yes ik is kinda abstract)

but it could be a metaphor for the white lice

crawling on her poor little head｡ﾟ(ﾟ´ω`ﾟ)ﾟ｡

(´；ω；`) but anyway the reason that this

scene gives me autumn vibes is cuz of

the glowing lights in the dark night
