:cat: Ghibli Cat Appreciation Post :cat:

Hello! Today I’m going to be talking about the cats of Ghibli, there’s a lot of them so this may be a big post!

1) Muta/Moon (also known as Mooooota)- The Cat Returns and Whisper Of The Heart

• Muta is such a a cool cat let’s be honest, he’s sarcy and rude but you still can’t help but love him!

2) Jiji, Lily, and their kittens- Kiki’s Delivery Service

• Jiji is my favourite cat, I love his sarcastic humour however he also had a sweet, soft side and really cares for Kiki. We don’t see much of Lily but she’s a beautiful cat and seems very sweet and loving. The kittens are so cute and the kitten that looks like Jiji is so adorable and clumsy and I think they should make a short about him.

3) Baron Humbert von Gikkingen- Whisper Of The Heart and The Cat Returns

• Baron is another favourite of mine, he’s so brave and is such a gentleman. I also love his friendship with Muta as they are caring towards each other but also know how to get the other to do something.

4) Prince Lune and Yuki- The Cat Returns

• Prince Lune is a very handsome cat and the colour of his fur is beautiful, he’s also such a gentleman and cares a lot for Yuki. Yuki is also a a very beautiful cat and is so sweet, caring and helpful, she is a perfect match for Lune.

5) Cat King- The Cat Returns

• I do not like this cat, he is rude and arrogant and selfish, he thinks he can get whatever he wants because he is the king, he is very egotistical and only cares about himself.

6) Niya- The Secret World of Arrietty

• This is one of the most realistic cats in the Ghibli movies along with Moon, Niya can be a peaceful cat but also a very playful and feisty one too. I also love all his little patches.

7) Catbus, Kittenbus and Cat Liner- My Neighbor Totoro and Mei and the Kittenbus

• I have always wished a Catbus existed in real life, they look so fluffy and sweet and would be able to take you anywhere quickly. I have never watched Mei and the Kittenbus (I hope to one day) but I have heard of it so they can’t be forgotten. Kittenbus looks so adorable and playful and the Cat Liner looks more like a train that could take you anywhere than a bus, so amazing!

8) Natori and Natoru- The Cat Returns

• I prefer Natori, he seems to understand that people have feelings and always wants things to go right and be the best he can be at his job. Natoru sort of annoyed me in the film because he just tried too hard and he also got Haru into more trouble because he didn’t listen to her properly.

9) Luisa- Whisper Of The Heart

• Last but certainly not least is Barons betrothed Luisa, from what we get from her in the film she seems like a beautiful and loving cat.

I also have cats and so does my boyfriend, and some other friends so imma add them to this post because cats are so cute!
