The Ghibli movie I have chosen to put in to our present day is Whisper of the Heart.

I would imagine that a lot of things would be very similar, however in our present day there is a lot of social media so I think that Seiji and Shizuku would text when they have the time and maybe even video call, also I feel Shizuku may have tried to find out who Seiji is through a social media platform, but maybe she enjoyed the mystery and so still wouldn’t have found out till she went to his house. I also think she would text Yuko to talk about their problems and organise things they are gonna do with each other. Shizuku and Seiji could have even texted when Seiji went to Italy.
