Darling in the Franxx revealed a bit.

The following news that I found is on their official Twitter page.

In the beginning, studio TRIGGER are a group of ex-gainax employees who worked on amazing anime series such as Luluco, Kill la Kill, and Little Witch Academia while A1 Pictures, in my opinion, are controversial in my taste of anime because of Sword Art Online. Few months ago, they announced Darling in the Franxx. In the teaser, I thought that it's going to end up like an another love story or like SAO because all Trigger-produced anime are never like SAO, Trigger knows what they're doing and I'm afraid that they'll fail for it.

Recently today, I found out that it's going to be a MECHA SERIES and they revealed their machine, "FRANXX".

I think it's going to be more like a modernized Evangelion, but without any GAINAX flaws because the design of the robot. This turned my head over to Franxx. I hope A1 Pictures enjoys making the project as well as Trigger and forget the whole Sword Art Online phase.
