Another Way to Use Sticky Notes!

Sticky notes are great help for our studying. To write important stuff, as a bookmark, to make information stand out, for to do's, you name it. But recently I have discovered a more effective way to use them, and that is to color code them!

Just like pens or highlighters, you can color code them by general colors or by a color scheme.

For example, you could use RED as an additional information, GREEN for diagrams or formula, BLUE for what the teacher said, YELLOW for summary, PINK for examples, PURPLE for important dates/people, etc etc.

This way your mind will eventually develop a memory for what color shows what. I found out about this from a video from ohnotes, you can check them out below!

I also suggest that you also use the same highlighter and colored pens so everything is in a neat color coding system.

I haven't really tried this because I found the trick when I was in my break, so I don't really have notes to experiment it with. But I think this will be very useful.

If you are afraid that your notes will look too 'festive' and messy, you could make a more simplistic look with a color scheme.

For example, use DARK colored stickies for additional informations, summaries, and teacher's quotes/emphasizes. Then use the LIGHT colored ones to write important dates, people, diagrams, and formulas.

So let's say if you're using blue for your theme, use dark and light color of highlighters, pens, and sticky notes!

There is no rule about this thing, you can customize it however you like! Just make sure you stick with your system throughout the school year, I'm sure this would help SO much wih your studying.
