① introduction
i've only little experience about
them, unfortunately.. . but still,
i think i might be able to help
you with creating one!^^ i've never
learnt the proper way of creating
one, but based on my observations,
mindmaps are something we use
to organize information and ourselves
at the same time loll >>,<<
owh well, let us get startedd ! !
ʕ•ٹ•ʔ index
❖ introduction
❖ a specific topic!
❖ basic layouts :>
❖ *actually* creating one
❖ outroduction
② a specific topic !
a. choose a topic;
b. be specific
those are our top two steps on starting
to create one. to avoid certain confusions,
let us look at it this way, creating a mindmap
is either of this three types of mindmaps! ❦
librarymind maps
are used to organize information visually, so multiple pieces of information or topics can be scanned easily without losing any part.
this is what us students, are likely to use!
i highly recommend using this one at the
end of every topic, discussion or chapter!
presentationmind maps
are used to present a progression of ideas, such as telling a story or tracking a call to action process.
this method focuses on the audience rather than the topic.
planningmind maps
can be used to visually present various actions and the relations sub-actions the can be expected from different plans.
the core topic of the mind map reflects the desired outcome.

mindmaps, click on the link provided below;

✦✧—
this small consideration alone helps us
create inferences and make adjustments
according to the topic itself!
but whatever your chosen topic is,
we should be able to know these;
。
。
i. mastery of the topic — we should study
and research about the said topic. usually, it
is more on facts than opinion. in here, what is
important is the information, clarity(of pen–
manship, connection, organization of ideas
and relation of the topics.
make sure to avoid unnecessary things, we
should focus on the connection of each topic and subtopics as they are what makes our mind map interconnected to each other.
if it is an on–the–spot mindmap activity, then
we shall rely on just; both our notes, and our
selves.. . here, we could really use a draft as
the tension and unpreparedness will surely
make our mindmap confusing, and very
unorganized. well– yess, mindmaps aren't
meant to be super organized, but just in
case it is for a graded activity, as a reviewer
(yes, they are very effective reviewers ówö),
as a reference, for group activity purposes..
etc. we could really use some organization!
。
。
。
ii. connection and relationships — a
chain of connected topics, with short but
precise meaning forms a good mindmap.
the more the topics seem unconnected,
the weaker the connections, the lesser your
mastery of the topic is! in here, connections
are very useful, as they tell whether we have
a good understanding, and retention of the
topic, or–– not.
。
。
iii. create with creativity —
lastly, let your imagination
flow when creating one! be sure that you
are not in too much stress or tension when
attempting to create one. i find it exhausting
and mentally –blocking when i do things,
specifically, art–related things, or poem,
essays, and everything "creation"
on a very focused state, or full of concentration.
sometimes, we don't have to put in too much
concentration on everything. has it ever
happened to you, where you suddenly find
something you've been looking for hours at
that moment you aren't searching for it?
well, that just states that–– things happen
at unexpected times, and sometimes, the
world is all upside–down. sometimes, we
sleep with open eyes, and wake up
with closed eyes. : ]
。
。
。
。
。
③ basic layouts :>
the basic layouts of mind maps usually goes
like either of this;
a ) topic ==> subtopic ==> branches
b ) topic ==> meaning ==> subtopic ==> meaning ==> examples
c ) topic ==> meaning ==> kinds ==> meaning (of each) ==> examples
in most cases, they include;
a) examples
b) fun–facts
c) mnemonics
d) headers
e) shapes
f) brush lettering
g) doodles
h) creative lines
i) summary
j) small reflection
k) questions
l) formulas
m) meanings
n) humor
o) quotes
p) stamps
q) stickers
r) lettering
s) drawing
t) dates
and so many more.. .
we can create combinations with any of these, and the outcome would still look as good.
things all come down to one's style. so, there isn't really any "proper " layout of a mind map.
what is important is, we have the topic, subtopics and a good connection between those.
it is important that we know the relation to each other and that, we find our mind map really useful!
