Herru herru people. How has
your week been so far? Mine
has been stressful because
I was and am still in a slump.
I have my finals in about
less than 10 days and I still
cant seem to motivate
myself . Although ,I'm still
getting some work done cuz
gRadEs . ( And also cuz
shelter and food as I dont
want my parents to kick
me out huhu. )I sound drunk
but bear with me.
Most of the work I've done
so far is solely from math as
it has a lot more content I
need to revise when
compared to other subjects.
Now , when it comes to
math I have a fixed set of
"things" I do that help me
score better than I expect
to . So I'm here today to
share those tips and tricks
with you that have helped
me so far in keeping my
math grade from ing me
in the trashcan.

It might be contradicting since people say that working while you're calm and collected is better. But people like me who procrastinate a lot will never be calm and collected . We start working only when the fear of failing sets in and thats basically the night before the exam. So what I do is I scare myself 15-10 days before the exam and start working early because of the fear.
An early Halloween wont hurt.

Take a neat paper and write a list of all the chapters from ur textbook. Keep it safe.

Choosing the hardest chapter will only tire you and drain your motivation. And we dont want that.
:herb: ↻ Start with a chapter you're confident
in and solve every type of question from it ,
without the help of your notes (test yourself )
:herb: ↻ If you dont know how to solve it, dont give
up yet. Just try to solve it in whatever way
you think is right then check the answer in
ur notebook. Look at the answer for a while
and try to understand what you did wrong.
Then close ur notebook, solve another
question and then come back to this
question and try solving it now.
:herb: ↻ Live commentary........ While you're
solving the questions if u happen to make
a mistake or keep forgetting something, then
use a color pen and beside the question, write
down a note to yourself about it . This will
help u ur mistakes better so that
you dont repeat them again in ur exams.
:herb: ↻ If you get doubts in between , then use
google or youtube to clear ur doubts. The more
you clear out your doubts the more you'll feel
confident about the topic.

After you've finished a chapter, take the list you prepared earlier and rate your work .If you did well without the help of your notebook, put a green tick beside the chapter's name. But if you needed the help of your notebook and kept making mistakes then put a red tick beside the chapter's name.
Now solve another chapter and do the same after finishing it too. Keep doing it until u finish solving all the chapters once. Now look at ur list and revise the red chapters again. Rate ur work this time too. If youre still bad at a certain chapter keep practicing it until you can mark it green.
Practice makes man perfect and among all the other subjects math is what requires the most practice. So keep practicing and dont give up.

I cannot emphasize enough how important your confidence is when you want to score well in any subject, including math. I dont mean self confidence. You need to be confident about your answers and knowledge in the examination hall. If you aren't confident , you'll doubt every single line of your answer and keep ing it again and again which will slow you down and also make you nervous, which will lead to you making mistakes unknowingly.
This is why the tips in step 3 are really useful. Once you clear your doubts, practice and make sure you know the topic well ,you'll definitely not think of anything else while answering the question paper and you'll be confident. Hence, you'll score better.

If you find past papers for the exam you're taking then go through the questions and see if you can solve them. If you cant, ask your teacher or the internet for help and try to solve it again. The more questions you solve the better your grip will be on that topic.

Before the exam, I would reccommend going through the sheets on which you practiced the problems instead of your class notes . Because they are more recent and you even have little notes written here and there about the mistakes you make, so it will be better to skim through them instead of the notes.

I dont know about other places but where I live , the questions in the exams come straight from the textbook. And due to this, many students just memorize the solution instead of solving it on their own. It does get you the grades but is it really worth it? At the end of the day you're not learning anything new and are just memorizing it like a poem. Besides if you learn how it is solved and the concept behind it, its so much more useful. Its less time consuming and you will be able to solve a number of questions based on the same concept.
So try to learn the concept as it will save your time and plus you'll it for way longer.
