How to: Write A Good Essay

I've seen some questions about how to write a good essay, and I think I might have the right solution for you guys!

1. Find a nice time & place

Recognize if you work better on daytime or nighttime, or even in the afternoon. You can write in your workspace, at a cafe, or even at the park to get some fresh air (and maybe some fresh ideas too!). Make sure to have minimal distractions and you have everything you need in reaching distance.

2. Brainstorm

What's your topic going to be? What do you associate with your topic? Let's say you're making an essay about music, are you going to write about the history, the basics, the genres, or the singers?

3. Do some research

This could help your brainstorm too. Which of the subtopics you have most access to? And which one do you understand or relate to the most? After you decide, look up from books or internet more about your keyword.

: To have a good essay, you need to be comfortable with the topic you're going to talk about.

4. Free writing

Write as much as you can without taking pauses for 5 to 10 minutes. Gotta let those amazing ideas out!

5. Organizing

Write a disposition! Title - Introductions - Topics - Conclusions. Make the title interesting, but not too 'over' and make sure it wraps the topic well. The introduction should start with a 'hook' to engage your readers, and the conclusions will resonate the hook.

6. Fill your paragraphs

Start writing your paragraphs. This may add a few extra paragraphs, and it's good thing! Expand your keywords and make a more detailed explanation.

7. Link your paragraph

The whole essay should be connected and continuous. Make sure one paragraph flows into the next. You can state a similarity or a contrast to the last paragraph.

8. Decorate your essays

What the hell? Decorate? Yep. By decorating I mean by using various words, and spicing up the essay a little. You can use thesaurus to find synonyms or vary your sentence structure and length. But don't go overboard and start writing clichés!

9. Proof read

Check. Recheck. Check again. One last time. Proof read is a great way to evaluate your essay. Place attention to the spellings, grammars, sources, and formats.

10. Celebrate

This is my favorite part!! After finishing your essay, do something you enjoy as a reward. Like watching netflix, going on social medias, taking a walk, eating something super delicious, or (my personal favorite) taking a peaceful sleep!
