What I'm Grateful For In My Life

Hey everyone! This is my first time blogging on this amino. So, I have participated in the #gratefulnesschallenge as I would like to express my gratefulness to a teacher who taught me Mathematics when I was nine years old.

Before I turned nine, I used to be weak in Mathematics. Even though I went for tuition and was tutored by my neighbour, I was never able to achieve an A. As a result, I lost my interest in Mathematics and did not focus on that subject at all. However, my perspective changed when that amazing teacher entered my life.

Unlike other teachers, she made her lessons fun and interesting by letting my class watch Mathematics videos that crack us up and allowing us to play Mathematics games to develop the skills that we had learnt in class. For example, she would let us play multiplication games to boost our speed of multiplying numbers.

Whenever we achieved an A or A-plus for an examination, she would give us stylish prizes such as files, pencil cases and more. They were great. Sometimes, when students from other classes saw us with those items, they would get jealous. Furthermore, she would also give out prizes to those who improved in their work and examinations.

Seeing my classmates receiving prizes, I took that as motivation and strived harder. For once, I had never felt so determined to achieve high results for Mathematics. And in that year, I achieved the highest in my class and was awarded with prizes that I longed to have.

I felt encouraged and once again, had interest in learning Mathematics. I improved tremendously in both my work and examinations. Until now, I was able to keep my score above ninety-one.

That teacher of mine gave me another path to continue when I was discouraged. I realised that not all teachers were fierce and strict. It dawned on me that no matter what, all teachers would strive to give the best to their students. That teacher of mine showed me love and was like a parent to me. The impact that she made in my life will be forever etched in my mind.

This is so nice. It's always so fun having a teacher who truly cares about their students and having them understand the material. I'm very grateful as well for my teachers who are like this.

Yes, what you said is absolutely true. We should be grateful to everybody in our lives, whether they are bad or good. We can always gain something from him or her.
