I thought this was a cool idea so I wanted to participate! This is for ijo's #CuisineChallenge.

Since I'm from the US, I thought it would be easier to just show something from my home state. What better to choose than our state meal? (Made official in 1988.)

Oklahoma's state meal reflects the state's historic and present-day agricultural and cultural backgrounds of its residents. The meal consists of: fried okra, cornbread, barbecue pork, squash, biscuits, sausage and gravy, grits, corn, strawberries (state fruit), chicken fried steak, pecan pie, and black-eyed peas.
