i haven't been paying much attention to you lately, not like i used to. in fact, i've even been ignoring you a little. i haven't been active, and the truth is: i didn't feel the want or need to know the latest details and updates about you.

i had begun to lost a little faith in you.

my sister announced that the delicate music video was out and the thing was, i didn't even feel that much of an excitement. i wanted to watch it, yes. but it wasn't at the top of my list.

on the same day that it came out however, i watched it along with my sister. and since i haven't been updated on people's opinions on it, i don't really know what the general public views are on it. i can tell you mine, though.

no, it doesn't really fit the lyrics, but

i love it.

i didn't quite focus on the message the first time i watched it, and maybe i still don't because i think there's a lot of messages in there, but i think i kinda get it.

to be honest, it's probably one of my favourite music videos from you. i enjoyed it more than any other music videos from the reputation era.

i used to think that fans would love an artist/s more if they keep their fans updated. and i used to think that the artist himself/herself would love their fans more in doing that, because you keep them updated to let you know what's happening, and whether you're okay and stuff. that's why they keep their fans updated, because they care. and that's why i began to lose faith in you. but you know what? i don't think that's always the case anymore.

in the delicate music video, i feel like other than the fact that it's you being who you are and acknowledging it proudly whether or not you're a celebrity, it's also telling us that you're happy. you don't give a shit, and you're happy. you're showing us, teaching us to be exactly who we are, even though the whole world might be against it. and if being inactive results in being happy and free to you, then i should've never doubted you in the first place.

also, i just had an epiphany. in the first few lines when you say:

'this ain't for the best, my reputation's never been worse so, you must like me for me.'

does it apply to us as well? swifties? i feel like it does all of a sudden. im sorry once again. if you're happy, then that's all i really need to know.

the delicate music video made me smile so much. i ire you so much, taylor alison swift.
