3 years ago today(2020), Taylor started the new tradition of dropping albums unannounced(not even with easter eggs). Diverting from her diary style albums, she also started a new era of story telling and magical folktales, and another album of the year was born. It was a new genre that incorporated many of her old country root. I loved Taylor's story telling and hoped for her return to more of a country root, so folklore was the best present I ever had during the pandemic(until evermore came out).
