Schooling Haters

I saw this on IG and someone commented "someone here genuinely defend taylor swift" and everyone was hating on her so I tried to defend her. This is what I commented in response to someone who said all she writes about is her exes-

Ok just no. You can't just exclusively attack taylor for something that literally every artist does. Every singer writes about love and breakups. And I'm really sick of Taylor being the only one criticized for it, when people like the weekend are praised for the same thing taylor gets hate for like tf? And yes she has her share of songs about exes (as does everyone else) but she writes about way more than that. You only hear about the songs about her exes because that's all anyone wants to talk about so they can hate on her. Reputation was pretty much 90% love songs about her current boyfriend, not breakups. The Best Day was written for her mom about her childhood. Never Grow Up was about moving out. Back To December was her actually taking the blame. Superstar is about her fans. Tied Together With a Smile is about a friend with an eating disorder. Ronan was about an effing child with cancer that died. Shall I go on? Her songs have tons of feeling and ion to them. So don't try to say that all of her songs are like Shake It Off and Bad Blood because they simply are not. Actually do your research before you decide to hate on someone because the people who actually know the facts will totally obliterate you. This unnecessary hate on Taylor needs to stop. She is a person too and it's not even like she does anything bad that nobody else has. Please have a heart. Imagine if you had the level of fame that she did and all the Internet gave you was hate. No wonder she disappeared.
