Okay guys, so we have decided that we'll be playing this coming Saturday the 13th. We still haven't nailed down a time yet, but I'm going to try to keep the start time earlier in the morning to try to accommodate everyone's time zones. Right now it looks like I'm going to start the game around 10AM California time (but that number isn't set in stone yet), and it's going to be a 4-6 hour 1 shot game.
So! Now that we have all of that settled, I want to hear what kind of game you guys would like to play. I have a storyline already planned out, but I would like to hear any suggestions/demands you guys have to see if I can't incorporate them into the plot as well.
You have ONE day to send me your suggestions. The reason why is because I'm going to draft the hook and start accepting character sheets tonight (Sunday night) in order to give everyone a week to make sure they can play and to put their character sheet together.
I know that's not a whole lot of time, so feel free to continue making suggestions all the way up until game day. I'm pretty agile and adaptive when it comes to being a GM. So if there's something you want that will work well with the plot, I'll do my best to get it in there.
So let me have it. What game do you want to play?

No perma death scenarios if we die something horribly cheesy has to happen then we come back

Yo, there needs to be a jar of pickles that grant a hour of god power, and they come back every day as long as you have the pickle juice
Personally, I'd prefer a smaller scale/power level campaign, but I'm just as open to a powerful one. I just like the idea of dealing with smaller problems and whatnot rather than global, save the world type things.
That being said, being gods is also pretty cool.
Setting wise, I particularly like the idea of pseudo- Renaissance 15th-16th century type stuff. Maybe guns, but back then guns were used in conjunction with bows, crossbows, swords etc.
