Hi everyone! I'm Jakk-e and I've been gaming for about 7 years.
I started by getting heavily involved in a college TTG club. Since then I've sought out card shops and convinced friends to give some games a shot.
I'm currently active in two D&D 5e campaigns and I own many board games. Some of my favorites include Last Night on Earth, Dungeon Fighter, Resistance, Pixel Tactics, and Dead of Winter.
As for rpgs, I've played D&D 3.5 and 5e, Pathfinder, and Shadowrun.
I'm beginning to consider DMing a campaign, but it's intimidating
I'm looking forward to learning some new things and making new friends!

Welcome!
DMing can be scary but honestly it’s lots of fun.
One thing that helps for first time DMing let your party know you may have a little trouble. Most parties are really great about not trying to be too insane or giving too much trouble.
Welcome to the group! :)
Thank you
Dont be daunted by dming. I started dming less than a year into playing and did ok. Just the following:
Run in a way you’d enjoy, ask for , make a plan then when you sit down to play wing it and only check notes when pressed for detail, the monster manual is a set of examples, not an extensive list of options, all 5e monsters need sprucing up.

I haven't heard of him, but I just looked him up and added his "running the game" series to my library so I can check that out! Thank you for the suggestion :two_hearts: is there any video in particular you recommend or should I start at the top?

He started that series right around when i started dming regularly.
#13 has ame good advise at the beginning. Some are skippable like the alignment video. 5e barely cares about alignment as is.
