While I'm always sorry to see a tabletop company go under, in this particular instance, Tenfold's loss is my gain.  Tenfold was a maker of 3d modular tabletop map sets.  My FLGS heard about the company's misfortune and purchased all remaining stock - only to sell said sets for $30 each!

The original kickstarter which funded December 23, 2021 priced these amazing sets out at just over $65 per set plus shipping.  If you ordered 3 sets you could get this down to about $61.50 per set.

As you can see by the image above - these modular systems are a STEAL at $65 each.  Reduce that to $30 and really, the only regret you would have is NOT buying more than one.

I was able to pick up the following sets at my FLGS: (The Castle and The Facility)

Unfortunately, they were out of Sewers and Dungeons, which was a set that I really wanted.  I was able to find a game shop in Wisconsin that had the set in stock for $49.95 plus tax and shipping.  Total out the door was $64.09 - STILL less than the price of the original kickstarter.  (Shout out to Noble Knight Games in Wisconsin. https://www.nobleknight.com/  They had a bit of a hiccup with their website payment processing, but calling the store got the issue immediately resolved.  GREAT friendly group of gamers there)

While I'm not usually one to play on maps, modular sets like this that sleeve into each other and are self contained might just change my mind.  Not to mention that the product is made of heavy durable materials with TONS of options.

If you see one of these sets and have been wanting to give map gaming a try, pick one up (as long as they're reasonably priced).  While the images above show the internal views of each section, each section CAN be flipped over, virtually doubling your map space.  They're also compatible with each other.  The two sets I DID NOT get are:

As you can see, you can stack them and flip them to create your own individual setup.  These layouts are only suggestions, and the beauty of a modular system is you can shift them around as you please to get some really creative layouts.

While I don't foresee the opportunity to use these in the immediate future (I'm already running 3 games) I can't wait for the chance when I finally can.

Can any of these be used in a Champions game? As in the Hero Games superhero setting. (I'm sure it can be used in a Fantasy Hero or Star Hero game...but a sup

superhero setting?)

The facility definitely could. It's scifi. Possibly the temple or castle if your heroes find themselves in a temple or castle. But otherwise, probably not.
