Valentines Day One Shot!

Community Wide One-shot is coming!!!

The realm of Tabletoppolis has long been a peaceful and serene kingdom of calm nerditude, ruled by the benevolent and snazzily dressed Queen Nephimzariel (she rolled a nat 20 for her charisma check on coronation day).  But away in the North beyond the great peaks of Mount Tain a dark soul has risen from the bowels of the Swamps of Reaching; a demi-god from the primal fears of man, as foretold by the great bards of every age.

Queen Nephimzariel, while dazzlingly charismatic...critically failed to recognize the warnings of the earnest bards, and dismissed their songs as nothing more than whimsy. The demi-god has stolen an ancient weapon of immeasurable power known only to a select few, a power that could bring Tabletoppolis to it's knees, and he is headed towards the capital city of Arpee.

Will you defend our kingdom? Will you sell it out to help the rising demi-god claim beautiful Queen Nephimzariel's throne (for a price, naturally)?  Will you try to claim this weapon for your own?

It's your favorite neighborhood Nephi, and I'm SUPER excited to announce a single shot freeform roleplay game this Valentine's Day!!!

This game will begin around 6PM PST on 2/14 and will run until 12 midnight (or earlier if the quest comes to it's conclusion). It will be text AND voice (though I will likely be using text only) and played via Tabletop's Discord server. (Sorry that's the only way to play) It will be entirely free-form RP, and the GM will be me! Nephi. :satisfied:

You don't have to stay for the whole game, and you can come in late if you have to.

Character sheets must be submitted and approved by Monday night (so I have time to adjust the story to suit the party). Character rules will be included with the character sheet template. (Attached to this post at the bottom)

Game play rules.

1. My game. My rules.

2. What I say goes. If you want to question my ruling on something, PM me on Discord. The action may not be up for debate. Keep this in mind.

3. Characters must all take their hits within reason - no ignoring attacks. No one dodges EVERY hit. If you try to do so, then I will step in and post further action/damage to your character.

**I'm a pretty fair and reasonable GM, and this is meant to be something fun, NOT something to be taken too seriously.

While the exact details of "winning" can't be disclosed (because it would give away the plotline) the winner of this campaign will receive the following:

:crown: The custom title of Demi-God or Demi-Goddess

:crown: Leader for a day (vicariously through Nephi). For 24 hours whatever changes you might like to enact for Tabletop will be so, as long as what you want to do doesn't break Tabletop. Because that would be bad. Want to change Tabletop's appearance? So be it. Want to change Tabletop's guidelines? So be it! Want to feature every post you've ever written? SO BE IT!

☹Those who quit the game because it's not going your way, or those who fail to be good sports about the rulings made will have their own custom title of Cry-Baby. Let's keep it light and fun guys.
