An-Ei trained tirelessly for years to master blades and poisons, taking pride in his progress, and when he was ready, he would spend countless years in the service of the Dark Brotherhood, up until its collapse.

After the Brotherhood fell, he began taking freelance jobs around Morrowind and the eastern Cyrodiilic cities, eventually coming into the service of the Argonians of Occupied Tear, taking more and more work from them, quietly killing various Dunmeri people of authority.

After years of consistently working against Dunmeri attempts to reclaim Tear, he eventually settled into living in the city long term, helping to defend it, and to strike back against the Dunmer, gradually gaining a frightful reputation among the southern territories of Morrowind.
