The Lament of a Writer

Alright. I should say that this poem probably sucks. I'm more skilled in writing stories than poems, but I was too busy to write a story. So, I decided to write a short poem.

You might not understand the poem since it's so bad. The poem is about a writer who is excited to write their story but in the end, didn't really write much due to Writer's Block.

I'm not so sure if this poem fits the rules of the challenge since I didn't mention any of the Writers Society , but I wrote this poem based on the Writers Society. Hopefully, I don't get disqualified!

                                   ♡ ♡ ♡

A pen in my hand;

A paper on the desk.

The tranquility of the room

Puts my mind at rest.

The Sun shines brightly;

Birds outside are chirping.

Ink drips on the paper,

"I'd better start writing!"

My wrist flicks as I write;

Each word brings satisfactory.

My mind is lost in imagination

As I write my story.

After writing for hours,

The story is finally done.

I read back what I've written.

Besides the 'The', there is none.

Alas, Writer's Block has seized me!

What on Earth can I do?

All I can do is drop to the floor,

And cry, "Boo-hoo-hoo!"
